  1. Michael Dawson to Hull according to BBC 5Live. Not everyone's cup of tea but a step up for them again.
  2. Sorry, Dynamo Kiev not Zenit! (half asleep when I wrote that first comment) Yes, even more turmoil there
  3. They not only paid £16m for Rojo but they're also paying all of Nani's wages whilst he's on a season long loan at Sporting Lisbon, so that's another £5m on the bill. Has anyone heard if Jeremain Lens got his move from Zenit? or is he still available?
  4. Don't worry about it, they've got Lallana now!
  5. Left back or left winger? Suppose it beats getting a right winger from Rome!
  6. He's in Greece this weekend for a medical and to finalise the move according to Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona based paper.
  7. From Sky Sports transfer centre late last night... http://www1.skysports.com/transfer-centre/ [h=3]21:53[/h] Jeremain Lens admits he is looking to leave Dynamo Kiev, but he will stay and play for them if he does not secure a move.
  8. Danny Kelly just said on Talksport that Saints have had a £10m bid for Forster accepted by Celtic.
  9. I know its on the BBC website, but there is nothing on the UEFA website about it & Celtic still show in the UEFA League draw. Are we sure? Seems an awfully quick decision, and Legia confirmed they only sent their submission yesterday.
  10. Sean Dyche on Talksport... Danny Ings not playing the other night was my decision, he had slight injury, not concerned about him being fit for the start of the season. No mention of any bid.
  11. Exactly, if Liam Ridgewell makes the MLS All Star Team then you can only imagine the quality of the rest.
  12. The BBC sports ticker saying that Bayern announced they've signed a deal for Pepe Reina. So Boruc to Liverpool as back up to Mignolet? (yes I am joking!)
  13. He was, and at £4m a bit of steal really. Talking of Lisbon, I see Oscar Cardozo joined Trabzonspor in Turkey. Always fancied getting him for a season, anyone know how much he went for?
  14. Careful, far to sensible a view to be taken seriously on here. That said, I totally agree, next summer everyone will have forgotten what we'v got in the bank as it'll be someone else's turn. If we're going to spend the money then let'e make sure it's the right player for us. Which bring Exactly the sort of player we should be taking our time and avoiding like the plague. I want to watch players who want to play for us, not who are happy to pick up a large pay packet from us. Otherwise we might just as well get Redflaps back in charge, at least we'd be guaranteed to spend £90m in two weeks.
  15. 15/2 joint favs with Luton for the L2 title this season. Well the bookies must know something that we don't, unless Mack's put his life savings on them!
  16. Pretty much a Celtic youth / reserve squad. Forster didn't play, but then none of the first team squad who are likely to feature in the 2nd leg against Legia Wasaw played. The only the first team player who did feature was Efe Ambrose, and this should concern us. He got sent off in the 1st Leg against Legia, and he also got sent off in the 90th minute for 2 yellow cards yesterday. As it's a friendly, I'm not sure it will carry a suspension, but it must make then think twice about letting Van Dijk go.
  17. And they lost at home again today against Charlton 2-1. Still let's hope the phew enjoyed their new programme!
  18. Love the confusion over who scored the 2nd goal... Davis, JWP, Isgrove... Livescore had it down as Kelvin Davis and still have!!
  19. Exactly he's filled a gap that needed filling. Why spend over the odds on a player if it's not the right player for us. Save the cash and use it when the heat has died down and we can the right player for the right price. I'm sure half the people on here would prefer we got Danny Fox back.
  20. Apparently the reaction is not a reaction to the interviews that Kreuger has done today, it is reaction to a meeting that took place today between Schneiderlin's representitives and the club according to Alex Crook on Talksport just now.
  21. So Cortese decided to take the pompey approach. If you remember the bonuses they had to pay out for winning their FA Cup exceeded the extra income they got from the games and prize money, it was part of what brought them down. Were we headed in the same direction? For those saying but the players were happy 6 months ago, of course they were. They were on contracts with massive bonuses. Subsequently I guess they've been told they will have to re-negotiate, or be sold.
  22. Interesting that you mention that. I noticed this quote on Nicola Cortese's wiki page, it's attributed to an interview with Tony Evans (ironically yes that Scouser Tony Evans) in The Times in March 2010. The whole article can't be read without subscribing but here's the link for anyone who has got that. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/footballleague/article2466646.ece Maybe, KL is putting Cortese's strategy into play!!
  23. Okay here's my Sunday night theory... I blame the new shirts and the stripes for our demise this summer. Think about it for one moment - last season loads of people moaned because we looked like Liverpool and at times we played like Liverpool. But no, the consensus was we had to have our stripes back. So Lallana / Lambert / Lovren / poss Rodriquez have gone to Liverpool - who wear an all red shirt that we almost copied last season. Shaw has gone to Man Utd - also play in a all red shirt Chambers is off to Arsenal - again the shirt last season was read with a white bit under the arms (extend that over the arms and yes, you've guessed it, you have an Arsenal shirt No-one has (yet) gone to a team wearing white or blue... If we'd have kept the red shirt, I reckon they would have stayed. The stripes are to blame!
  24. Exclusive news on LFC TV at 10.00pm according to LFC's twitter site (as seen on Sky's Transfer Centre). Probably that KL has sold LFC the rights for us to be their feeder team...
  25. A decent well written article. Just listening to Talksport and they are talking to a Raf Honigstein, a German journalist, who has come up with a couple of interesting stories regarding German clubs. The first one was around Pep Guardiola wanting to sign Marco Reus from Dortmund. It was actually veto'ed by Bayern themselves as they didn't want the negative reaction of signing yet another Dortmund player after Gotze & Lewandowski. Could you imagine Liverpool not signing Lovren as they didn't want the bad publicity! The other one is warning about inflationary wages. The reason Toni Kroos has left Bayern is that he and Mario Gotze share the same agent, who obviously knew that Gotze signed for three times the wages that Kroos was on. Obviously Bayern weren't willing to match wages so he decided to move.
