1. Loved the comment in the BBC web feed yesterday. Makes you think he must have got some stick during the previous weeks! 17:23 Will any Southampton players make Garth's team of the week? Find out tomorrow evening. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/29427033
2. Looking at the table tonight is just amazing as a Saints fan Five points clear of 4th spot with vastly superior goal difference and twice the number of points that Spurs haven got (although they have a game in hand). Unbelievable Jeff!
3. So who do we want pompey to get in the FA Cup 1st round draw on Monday? The important numbers for those listening in are: 35 - pompey

65 - Dartford 66 - Maidstone

67 - Gosport Borough 68 - Weston-Super-Mare

69 - Eastbourne Borough or Dover Athletic 70 - Weymouth or Braintree

71 - Worcester City or Greenwich Borough 72 - Canvey Island or Havant & Waterlooville

73 - Concord Rangers 74 - Basingstoke or Harrow Borough

75 - Aldershot 76 - Eastleigh

77 - Bromley 78 - Chelmsford or Barnet

79 - Nuneaton or Hemel Hempstead 80 - Woking

Gosport Borough would be the most local derby for them but I feel that might bit a bit too winnable so I fancy Eastleigh away for them!
4. Yes, but then they appear to have pompey down to finish 3rd in L2!!
5. Hopefully this'll put Mane in the mood to get a hat-trick on Saturday!
6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29699104 Even Dan Roan at the BBC falling for the spin now... "The group will be chaired by Joanna Manning-Cooper, director of marketing and communications for the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England, a member of the Portsmouth Supporters Trust and a community shareholder in Portsmouth FC - the biggest supporter-owned club in the country." Funny, I thought you needed to own more than 48% of something to own it.
7. Best mate had an R32 as a company car so had it from new. Had massive problems with onboard computer which never worked properly, but the biggest issue was the tyres. They are very low profile and only used about 3 cars - the R32, one of the top of the range Mondeo's and something else which escapes me at the moment (might be an Aston). He really struggled to get them to hold the required pressure and consequently had a problem every time he hit a pothole, either needing a new tyre and/or alloy. He ended up paying to get out of it early.
8. Lovren appears to have bit of Saganowski about him. Saga played superbly whilst on loan and as soon as he got a permanent deal then he let his standards slip. Lovren played well for us, but now he's got his move to join his head in Liverpool his Lyon form seems to have returned.
9. All the above plus visit this pub. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g274772-d1008982-r124396329-C_K_Browar_Restauracja-Krakow_Lesser_Poland_Province_Southern_Poland.html It's a brewpub, they only serve at a table (no standing at the bar) and you get your beer served as I remember in 2L, 3L or 5L tall tubes which you then serve yourself at the table. Great beer, had Eurosport on the tv's when we were there so some football. Do get there early or book though!
10. Where as what they do is pick up rejects from other cubs, chuck them into their first team as there's no-one else, give them a chance to look mediocre in the middle of L2, argue about selling them for decent money whilst allowing their contract to run down and then finding out no-one wants them anyway whilst proclaiming that they've found the bestest player in the world. Exactly the same innit mush?
11. Chambers and Shaw have been specifically picked for the U21s as it's a play-off game and given the comments from both Hodgson and Southgate, I would expect both to start.
12. Ah they may have been cheated out of the City of Football title, but what better than playing on a Champions League night against Dagenheim & Rot-brugge. I'm sure they'll be as overawed as Milan!
13. The bloke is an idiot. Hence he thought Angel de Maria made his debut on Sunday.
14. Was just going to add that. Started today for Inter against Sassuolo and scored the 4th after 43 minutes & 6th after 73 minutes in a 7-0 win. Interestingly last seasons golden boy Dominico Berardi who starred for Sassuolo (owned by Juventus from memory) got a straight red card on the hour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt6fwLJsEn0 The goals are in the first 6 & half minutes - looks like it was recorded live with the highlights tagged on the end.
15. Compare and contrast with an article written in the Mirror by Alex Crook which attempts to convey the same message. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfer-target-morgan-schneiderlin-4190836 Interesting that the British based journalist still seems intent on getting him moved to Spurs - and let's face it, the Mirror couldn't be bothered to change the title of the page.
16. Valencia, not the easiest to get to but great weather, food and beaches. Great architecture (old & new), the ricketty old Mestella and potentially the new one. Barcelona, Rome & Krakow also decent shouts as well.
17. Agree with you on Tim Wiese. For those after Frimpong, he's signed for a Russian Premier League team FC Ufa.
18. Overall, pretty pleased with the transfer window. I do feel we have strengthened significantly at the back, and particularly at CB. My only concern is where the goals are going to come from. Hopefully Mane can chip in with 15 or so and JRod stays for the season when he's fit. Long isn't a natural goalscorer and if Pelle get's injured then we could struggle. Also slightly disappointed that we've let Gaston go on loan to a rival club, but as someone put it on the transfer thread yesterday (and assuming these figures are correct) the a £3m loan fee and getting his £50k pw wages off the books for someone who only played 500 minutes last season is a pretty good result.
19. Not sure why we're loaning one of our rivals one of our players, whether we think he's any good or not. Odd decision.
20. Decent excuse for me to get down to Easter Road and check out how he's doing.
21. Was a report on the Bayer Leverkusen game and Pelle OG. More important is the new headline: [h=1]Die is cast: Alderweireld one year to Southampton[/h]
22. That all depends on how much they're paying them. Past form has them in the QPR category for overpaying on wages...
23. Come on guys. On a night when QPR got beaten by Burton, Villa got beaten by Leyton Orient and Steve De Ridder played for FC Copenhagen in a Champions League qualifer - just proves anything is possible.
24. Sorry jumped the gun with Dawson to Hull.... being talked about, not actually happened.
