  1. How many agents does it take to complete a £1m transfer... no it's not a joke but no wonder there's so much money flooding out of the game if it takes 3 to finalise a £1m transfer and then they still cut one out!!
  2. This. They need to build some confidence ahead of Swansea at the weekend.
  3. 3 great away trips there, but as you say we would have had a totally different group.
  4. I've also purchased a membership on the basis that I live in Edinburgh so a season ticket isn't viable for me, so I thought a membership would give me the best chance of getting tickets. What's the point if away sales are sold out with you needing a season ticket & 2 away games?! Especially frustrating when we know the club can get another 1500 tickets. Great idea. The best solution would be that they allow people to log in on-line and pre-order tickets for the whole season. If you indicate that you want tickets then you are committed to buy, but it's not a guarantee you'll get a ticket as the club then goes through the same process as now allocating tickets to season tickets holders first then members then non-members. If that could be done earlier then that would help everyone's travel plans (i.e. get cheaper rail tickets). It would also then give the club an indication of what level of allocation they should take.
  5. Thought Romeo was immense today. Won nearly every tackle and header going and kept things ticking over with some good distribution. Looks a bargain at £5m. Have to say that he came in at a difficult time, with Schneiderlein sold, Wanyama & Clasie ill and injured and into a team which had just lost form, Hopefully today will be a sign of things to come from him.
  6. Cody Cropper in goal for MK Dons tonight against Cardiff.
  7. I've heard that his heads been at the Telegraph since April....
  8. I doubt it, think the game was up earlier in the thread. SuperMikey - you must be our new signing. You any good at Centre Back? p.s. Ross Wilson is the SCottish Head of Recruitment, I couldn't comment on whether he's a midget or not!
  9. At the moment, no-one other than the PST knows because in the new era of openness and transparency you get this when you try to access the summaries of the meetings: MAR 30 2015 By Pam WilkinsMinutes of this meeting are currently under review and will be uploaded as soon as possible
  10. I see Tommy Widdrington is managing Eastbourne Borough in the Conference South. Happily they managed to beat pompey 1-0 a couple of days ago.
  11. Goals from the Saints v Liverpool semi final, followed by the goals from County Antrim v Real Sociedad in the Premier semi final http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33726489
  12. and it's good to see a young manager called Tommy Widdrington in charge over there!
  13. Poch did a good job for us whilst he was here but stayed one season. I just wonder why he still seems to have a hard on for Saints? Does he regret leaving seeing what Koeman has achieved and what he had to spend, given his lack of achievement at Spurs.
  14. According to the BBC, Chester has left Hull's Austrian training camp and is on his way back to finalise the deal with West Brom.
  15. In theory, a loan away with plenty of first team football would be a good idea to help bring him on. However that does need to be balanced against how he would react to moving away. I don't know Sam at all, but given what he's been through - if he lives at home at the moment then a loan away will mean leaving his own family and also the 'Saints family' that would have been supportive to him. It could make or break him as a person as much as a footballer. That said, we seem to be a club that does look at things beyond a football pitch so I'm sure they're taking the off the field situation into account as much as the on the field.
  16. He has done very well for himself in Portugal & Spain, coming back now for family reasons I believe. The BBC did a piece on him late last year giving a bit more background for those interested. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29463560 Be interesting to see how he and Paul Clement get on (although having taken very different jobs in coming back to this country).
  17. French journalist on Talksport (Julien Laurent of La Parisienne) now was just talking about Imbula, seems to think that he will go to Italy. No mention of any English club being interested in him. Also asked about Cabeye to West Ham (as one of the presenters is a Hammers fan), PSG unlikely to let him go on a loan and paid £20m for him and would want most of that back, indicated would need to be a fee north of £15m to get him. That said, Cabeye wants first team football a his place is in danger of losing his place in the French team.
  18. and all of a sudden, you can see why having hot running water at fatpipes park was such a 'difficult' decision to make.
  19. It was lifted from an interview on Talksport where they were discussing if Clyne and Morgan would leave, and he was asked whether Arsenal would be a good fit for Morgan.
  20. This, and to make it worse Jones taken off at half time and we'll try Henderson at right back.
  21. And even worse, Harry Redknapp will be one of the pundits...
  22. For once, I agree with Saint Charlie. At the right price, given we some squad depth this season with the Europa League, I think he is good option. Remember that Elia himself wasn't in form when he joined us. Given a decent pre-season, I think he could be a bargain.
  23. Not really. Unless he'd already decided is head was in Liverpool, you would expect Clyne to wait to see if we can provide European football for him in the same competition as he would get if he moved to the scousers. He then makes a decision with full information. Also by delaying he's raising his chances of getting a bigger wage packet. Plus didn't Koeman say that the deadline was not related to him signing a contract but sorting out agent issues - i.e. he was changing to Ryan Bertrand's agent.
  24. Brilliant
