Cannot believe this signing. Easily the best signing I can remember for a League One side. This guy is top notch. I saw him a few times when over in Italy last year and he impressed when at the top level. Good work, Pards.

He's on gardening leave for a year.

League One is not easy. The teams down here are harder than ever. We have a new team and we're playing experienced professionals. Millwall reached the play-off final, Huddersfield will get promoted this season and Swindon are a tough side. Why do most fans still have Premier League expectations?

After a heavy sleep the first thing I did this morning was log on to see what muck was being spread after our second consecutive away defeat. And, surprise, surprise, it's the typical negative spiel, which is all too familiar on here. Come on people, we're three matches in. We're in minus ten points, have a new manager, new owner, need to build a new squad, new coaching system, and a whole new infrastructure at the club. It's time for us to be realistic. We need 60 points to survive, simple as that. Yes, promotion would be nice but it won't happen this season. It's time we all take a step back and realise it's quite nice to actually have a club at all. Let Pards build his squad and create the environment he wants. The club has the club been torn from pillar to post for it to immediately do well. Former players, club staff and current team members have pleaded for patience. And I know it is a rare commodity but it's vital to the futurity of the club. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Possibly because he is looking for players who are both physical and enthusiastic. We need commited players who want to be here. Sounds like he fits the bill.

Apart from having the best name in football, he could also be a Saints player soon, according to the Non League Paper. The Kettering defender is apparently subject of interest from Notts County and us. And in the past has interested Palace, Sheffield United, Plymouth and Crewe. A St Mary's source told the NLP: "The new manager Alan Pardew is on the lookout for a big, no-nonsense centre-half from the Non-League game and, from what he's been told, the boy at Kettering fits the bill perfectly." Sounds good to me.

He didn't say Rasiak was leaving.

One of the most ridiculous suggestions I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, HCDAJFU, but the only chance Saints have of signing him would be to cheat on Football Manager.
-
The other day Wotton said Saints needed four players to move from relegation battler to play-off contenders. With Lambert signed and other irons in the fire, things are looking good.
-
Rasiak was in the treatment room yesterday, although saying that he seemed happy to be in there. He'll jump at the chance to leave, given one. Rickie Lambert anybody?

Brilliant stuff -
That's what we need... good solid managerial experience.
-
I've seen him in M&S Hedge End before. It was just after the FA Cup Final and I was with my mum. She decided to shout: "oooh its weeee Gordon Strachan." God knows what accent she was trying but he did look puzzled.
-
You heard it here first... Reuben Agboola.

I am pretty sure that Kiki would jump at the chance to sign for us. The lad almost headed to Wrexham last season, which would suggest that he is 'open to offers.' If he's fit enough I'd like to see us sign him. Another player in the Dutch side I'd like us to sign is goalkeeper Roy Oukerwerk. This time last year he was in goal for Ajax against Inter Milan. He's young and would provide good back-up to King Kelv. He'd also be better than Bart, Weather and Poke.

The guy who runs it has a pretty good name: Tijs Tummers.

Ah yes, they have an agreement with the Georgian players association so they've kinda joined forces to form Switzgia.

Whoever the manager is, make sure a Saints scout heads down to Cannes this weekend, please. It's the FIFPro tournament - a competition that offers out-of-contract professional footballers the opportunity to put themselves in the shop window. In previous years there have been some real gems and, looking at this year's list, it could be a great call... http://tournament.fifpro.org/index.php?mod=pcat&sess=l37915707

Undoubtedly the best signing made this summer. Who needs the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo? We've got Super Kelvin Davis!

I'd just like to clear-up that Franny was merely saying it'd have been nice if his mate had got the club, which is understanable, as I'm sure you'll all agree. He sounded chuffed to have the club he loves secured.

Spoke to the legend earlier on the best news I've had in a long, long, long, long, long time. Herr Liebherr you are a hero. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/nationwide2/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/09/07/08/manual_175846.html

I have never said this, nor do I hope to ever say this again, but thank you to everybody at the Daily Mail. Not many things can make me smile on the Nightbus through Eastleigh. Even if it doesn't happen it made the journey bearable... Seriously though, to the Liebherr clan, I think we'd all really appreciate it if you would buy the club. Thanks in advance.

Jim, I tried to PM you but it seems I can't, for one reason or another. My email address is simonpeach@hotmail.com so if you could forward me any feedback that'd be great. Cheers for that, Chez. Rest assured that it'll be a printed product - it was just so I could get people to read it that it is online.

Thanks all for your positive response. I'll be following up with it in the next few weeks and will mak a start on the next edition. Cheers mate, it has been a while. Gravesend was easily the worst place I've ever been! Although I seem to remember the pre-match kebab was pretty good. Cheers for the advice, mate. I too would have thought it would have done before but, from research, it seems it hasn't and there is market for a feature based magazine on the lower leagues. I agree with you that we've all heard about footballers who come out with same ol' cliches about blondes, food and the like. But this is about unearthing the real characters of the game, exposing stories that people want to read. Personally, I'd much prefer to read about a wheeler dealer like Barry Fry then listening to a Premier League player spouting PR rubbish. Hopefully we can show there is still some heart in the game whilst providing a product people want to read.
