  1. Waste of time. No one cares about international football. Even Gerrard. Witness his lame attempt at closing down the Croat before he put England out of Euro 2008. If he can't be arsed neither can I.
  2. About 30% chance of staying up I would say. But would be happy to revisit that assessment if we beat Charlton and Watford.
  3. 4/6 is the BEST price you will get if you wanted to back us to go down. We are as short as 1/2 at SkyBet. The writing is very much on the wall.
  4. Still 7 games to play. But we are not 1/2 to be relegated for nothing. Get on soon as our odds will tighten up after we fail to beat Charlton at home.
  5. Can I be the first to say it's going to be a rollercoaster ride in Blackpool. I'm here all week.
  6. That's the three for me now - right there at the bottom now. Charlton, Saints, Forest. It's grim. Nice one rupert - you chimp.
  7. Surely not £48 to watch the Saints these days? Jeez I just paid about the same for nearly the best tickets for me AND my two teenagers to be part of a 45,000 crowd at the Suncorp watching the Broncos beat the Cowboys 19-18. Whatever you think of NRL it was value and a cracking night.
  8. Rory - can you get up to Blackpool next weekend? I reckon you could do a job up front for us. At least you know how to shoot and looking at your physique you must be at least as mobile as Mcgoldrick.
  9. 3-1 to Saints. First time Ive thought a win was on the cards for a long long time. Surely a reaction after the late Derby equaliser. We have been playing well on the whole for the last few weeks. Might just all come right Saturday.
  10. Derby were top of the current form table before kick off so it was never an easy game. A point is more than I thought we'd get. We're not known as struggling Southampton for nothing. Long way to go yet, but I don't think we've got it in us. I still refuse to hope.
  11. Not completely unexpected. We weren't 4-1 with Ladbrokes for nothing. Derby is big - both for the points and for the confidence. And they are flying with Nigel Clough as their new manager. Going to be difficult Tuesday then, but a win could see us set up lovely for a real good run at getting out of trouble. And boy are we in it right now.
  12. 2-0 to Birmingham. Hopefully a decent performance and go into the next game confident.
  13. Leave it out. We are 2 points adrift in the drop zone and have Birmingham away. In the unlikely event that we stay up this season I won't be thanking Lowe. There is no way forward for the club with him in charge.
  14. I was Ok when there was no hope - I could cope. But now there appears to be hope again I am dreading coming out from behind the sofa. Been hurt by the Saints so many times before.....keep it going lads.
  15. I refuse to hope. It's easier that way.
  16. Just found the result and from the comments on here it sounds like Saints finally provided a good day to be a Saints fan. Being a realist though, I'm not getting excited. Without a win at Ipswich the last two games will begin to look like too little too late. I still think as a long term strategy getting rid of Lowe is a fundamental. Or what? Stay up like last year and have another season like this one?
  17. Confidence means a lot in football. Lets kick on from here. Personally, I think it's another false dawn, so I'm not getting my hopes up again. Hope the players think otherwise.
  18. One year ago today I broke my upper humerus into 14 pieces on a ski slope in Canada. I still have the plate and screws in holding my arm together. This whole experience was less painful than watching the Saints over the last 12 months.
  19. We will learn from the defeat
  20. I have a mate called Mike Williamson. He's a little over 40, supports Sunderland and likes a drink and a fag. We could give him a try upfront instead of DMG I guess.
  21. Shut the **** up and deliver some points.
  22. I think the important ones were missed by best and Idiakez
  23. Lost again. No surprise. Going Down. Administration please.

    Dyer

On Setanta 'There's a buzz around the ground whenever Dyer gets the ball'.......'why did Southampton loan him out'.....'because they have so many good youngsters they would rather him playing first team football'. It beggars belief - we have a player out on loan tearing up a Premier League defence and our jokers can't beat an omelette.
  25. I used to think Rupert was just a half decent sort of bloke trying to do the right thing by us. But I now realise he is just a Loser. As such he should do the decent thing and bugger off to screw up someone elses club.
