Pretty much spot on. On the rare occasions he manages to control the ball well enough to actually go on a run he invariably plays the ball into the defenders shins and tries to run after it hoping that by some miracle both himself and the ball will come out the other side. It's not rustiness either - it was evident all last season. He needs to spend half an hour a day playing a football against a wall and running around cones. Basics.

First sight of the new team for me today. Living in Devon and preparing to emigrate has meant no visit to SMS as yet. Have to say having seen that, we look very lightweight. Dyer cannot trap a bag of cement and should do extra training knocking the ball against a wall and controlling it. It's not rocket science.

Great win lads. Don't give a monkeys if they rested a few - so did we. Feeling better about Saints right now than I did for the whole of last season.

It's not the losing that hurts so much - it's just that Saints seem often to seek out the most painful ways of doing it. Stoppage time sucker punch last weel, Kevin bloody Phillips this week - and its bloody Derby next week. Gutted. Again.

Nail on Head. I have rarely enjoyed a teams suffering as much as I enjoyed Derbys last season. The club is right up there with Adrian Heath.
