1. Appoint Hughes 2. Let him get on with it.
-
They will rotate. Pep has already said he wants to use all the squad over the last 3 games. They were already on the beach at Huddersfield. A few sharp tackles early doors with the World Cup around the corner will have them rethinking the 50/50's.

Absolute wreck here. And I have a days work to do now. Great effort and positivity. Gabby deserves a bloody medal, sticking around the way he has been treated and putting it all on the line to get that one in the net. If I was in Swansea i would definitely be going to the Marriott for an incognito drink and then doing something bang out of order to celebrate.
-
Stay in Cardiff and make arrangements for next season. Club can let the Marriott know they won't be needed next season after the game. Maybe a few of our fans can swing by for a few in their expensive lounge as well.

The best player in MLS ever.... Bradley Wright-Phillips?
Kingsbridge Saint replied to lumuah's topic in The Saints
Anyone who thinks MLS is poor clearly hasn't seen the A League in Australia. Rotten from top to bottom - the quality of the football, attendances, the refereeing, the buffoons on the VAR, the end of season 'Play - Offs' farce that has just seen the team that finished 4th out of 10 being crowned 'Champions'. Football is dying out here. -
Swansea will be looking at 3 points from that Stoke game and be counting on 36, minimum. They will also be looking at the Huddersfield position and thinking they won't avoid defeat twice in their last three. So they might be in the comfort zone a bit. We should be far far hungrier, and with Carvhalo being the cautious type (think Puel, Pellegrino) we should be able to take the game to them. Romeu will be available, possibly Lemina, and Yoshi couldn't even get in the team a few weeks back, so we are used to defending without him. This is very winnable, and would have taken your arm off for this chance a few weeks ago. 2-0 Saints COYR.

Amazed Portsmouth has a 'University'. Must be new, because it wasn't there in the Nineties. Clearly no locals are ever going to go there as they are all thick and ignorant, and I can't believe anyone would choose to live amongst the toothless apes to attend.
-
This is the only consoling feature from that horrible late equaliser. I think its likely we would have needed the win at Swansea anyway.
-
Yeah - when trying to see who the oppositions number 17 is we can spend 5 minutes squinting at our phones whilst the crappy signal takes an age to download the right page. Progress.
-
Taking the confidence of a win into this one. Should be very hungry. Huge game. Point minimum. Going to be very tough, but very do-able. Could even snatch a priceless win. Tosun is a bit hit and miss.

Saints 2 Boscombe 1 - Match and Reactions
Kingsbridge Saint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Tadic was immense today. Where has that been all season? Need something at Everton and then a win at Swansea. Minimum - also very tough asks, both of them. -
Targett would walk into our first team at the moment. It genuinely astonishes me that we send players out on loan who are better than the players we pay millions to bring in and then multiple millions per year in salary costs. It's bat**** crazy.

Liverpools Centre halves systemically hauling down Danny Wallace on the half way line at WHL in the cup semi-final. All game. free kicks, but nothing further. Carry on lads. The bias is subconscious but it is there in spades. And its getting worse. All clubs outside the big clubs should be in favour of VAR as it will help address the bias.
-
Simply can't be starting this game with Tadic, Redmond and one up front. It has failed all season, every time. Time to bring Fraser back in as he has something to prove and McCarthy hasn't been all that. Lemina - one last chance to prove he isn't a feckless lazy tart. Long needs a rest - that touch against Chelseas hows how far shot his confidence is. Impact from the bench if we need it. Forster Cedric Yoshi Bednarek Bertrand Sims Lemina JWP Tadic Gabbiadini (10) Austin (9)

Do we have a golden boot? That would be even more laughable.

Saints RELEGATED Liverpool WIN champions league
Kingsbridge Saint replied to Heisenberg's topic in The Saints
Or they could lose in the final and we stay up. I would take great pleasure from either of those outcomes. -
Refusing to warm up to take a part in a game when you are paid $60,000 a week is nothing short of scandalous. Hughes has to get shot of him regardless of any latent ability. Out of the matchday squad, away from training with the first team, away from the club. Fined at least two weeks wages for failing to fulfil the requirements of his role and sold to the highest bidder as soon as the window opens. You simply cannot have this and foster any sort of team spirit.
-
£60,000 a week. I'll just leave that there.

We had a lot of good times under Reed 2010 -2016 but the last two years have been a car crash. Maybe he has had to asset strip under instructions from the owners? It would help if he fronted up to the media, or a fan forum, and gave us some sort of explanation for the nosedive since Koeman left. If he did that and outlined a plan to turn things around again, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Avoiding accountability altogether isn't a good look though, so unless we get that openness I would be happy to see him go.
-
I'd like to see where that is in the rules. Are goalkeepers now officially protected from contact in the air under the rules of the game? They already have the advantage of using their hands - are the scales now tipped - officially - even further in their favour? If not = could Poll be talking bo11ox.
-
No Lemina would be a good start. If we are starting Tadic and Redmond then we need two up front as all season long they have failed to get forward enough to support a lone striker. JWP should start, as should Davis and Sims and all the others who care about the club and are going to put in a shift. So that probably rules out the Tadic and Redmond and one up front tactical masterplan.

Looking at the squad we could be left with...
Kingsbridge Saint replied to Dazza82's topic in The Saints
I foresee a decade or more of frustrating seasons in the EFL waiting for players to gel. It's a nightmare of Reeds making. -
Tadic is one of the main reasons we are going down. It was his job to get forward to support the lone striker, along with Redmond. Both have failed consistently and woefully, yet were picked in the same set-up almost every week.
-
Decent Manics Album that. As for the game "Resistance is Futile" might be closer to the mark.

Chance to get to a Cup Final and get a huge confidence boost ahead of the next three vital League games. Put the best team possible out and give it 100%.
