Especially if he gives us a moonie at 17-00hrs tomorrow.

Predicting football results has always been a mug's game! Thats why Vernon's,Littlewoods, Zetters and the rest made fortunes before the Lottery pocketted the punters money. The only occasion when I predicted a Saints win on this website 3-1 indeed, we lost so since then I have remained silent on predictions. Am always happy for "experts" in the media to reckon that we will lose though as when we shatter their illusions the win tastes all the better.

Back to the OP of the thread and I will say, "Yes." I M O, trust in NC is now justified.

After the brilliant win over Chelsea, it would be easy to think,"Job done!" That however is far from the case and I will not agree that we are safe until we get at least 40 points and the team in eighteenth place cannot achieve that. I am hopeful of winning all our remaining matches, but realise that we still look vulnerable at corners and free kicks, not to mention quick breakaways. Just hoping that old habits have been abandoned with the new management in charge and that the high pressure attacking style brings us our rewards.

Is there any team you dislike more than Pompey?

I could not care less when Swansea or Cardiff joined the Football League. You merely point out that , in my opinion, they have beein the English league far too long; over seventy years by your estimate. You are welcome to denigrate my opinions as strange if it makes you happy! Arsenal moving from Woolwich was not crossing national borders and was, I think, to avoid competition from Charlton. -

Hate is a very self destrructive emotion and best avoided. Nevertheless, I detest PFC and all they represent; more than any club they take the biscuit. That reminds me of Reading too and I cannot think of anything good to say about them. Cardiff and Swansea should be sent off to the League of Wales or whatever it is called, IMO. MK? Well, that saga leaves a bad taste does it not. Bournemouth (once known as Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic or "Boscombe" locally) are an amusing lot. Most of their fans seem to hate us at least some of their elderly brethen have given me an earful of abuse when in Boscombe. "You're just a small club on Poole Bay!" -
Well done Ricky; great news for all of us!

Even the experts on "Final Score" were full of Liverpool not turning up on Saturday, but apologies if umpteen others have already stated that. Never mind, we'll keep under the radar until we are safe then.

Saints charged by FA for failing to control players vs Norwich

Well, I didn't realise that Clattenburg posted on here. -
This, as well as appointing an inexperienced (premier league) manager unable to speak English.

That's the spirit! :lol::lol:

I have to confess that I was disappointed by the manner of Nigel's departure and made a disparaging remark about our esteemed Executive Chairman. After recent events and especially after today's wonderful achievement and the general standard of football since MP's arrival (deserving of more wins) I have to admit that Nicola Cortese was right I was WRONG!
-
You could be absolutely right! A period of silence from MLT would be welcome as far as I am concerned.
-
This is absolulutely right. As soon as we began to get the feel good factor again, we get this sort of ---- poured over us. Made to feel a laughing stock again. Cortese OUT!

Happy Christmas one and all.............and three points on Boxing Day would be better than any present!

Didn't Frank leave West Ham for Chelsea because Uncle Harry got the sack? I'd guess a QPR move if he stays in England.

Great News! -
Yes! I am very sceptical in keeping with my age.

Many great memories of that side from the Forties and early Fifties! RIP Eric.

Yes! It is an awful visual and mental shock to look at that site. I preferred the previous one, at least it was possible to find the info you wanted.

Fabulous signing! I did not vote in the poll as I did not have a clue as to the likelihood of this signing, but lived in hope. Have spent more time than I should following this saga, but I cannot recall anything more exciting except possibly Keegan coming in from Hanover or Charlie Wayman from Newcastle when Football was in a different world. ...and as for Lawrenson?:lol:

Thanks for the post and picture,MLG. I like the Spurs Greenhouse; they could grow a few tomatos in that. We ought to copy that at Staplewood and the toms could be marketed under a COYR trade name. Or maybe not...

Probably for the best.

With a pre-publication order, do we get a signed copy? :) Get well soon.
