I think that you are absolutely right,I.S. even though Hypochondriac's concerms are understandable. OSM has also given a good explanation why any bid for Ward could have collapsed. Our treatrment room is busy enough already. Reinfocements in midfield and striker area would be welcome: if improvement on what we already have.

Are you saying that it is not a comedy show?
-
I think that Dave is a hero! His sidekicks, however, waffle on about whatever is happening elsewhere or discussing past events so you don't know what is really going on on the pitch in realtime. Better to get to the game as someone said earlier on this thread. Oh, I also wish that the commentator would be less enthusiastic about the opponents getting a goal: they could try to sound a bit depressed like the rest of us at such an event. Hopefully, we wont have too many, if any, opportunities to test that!
-
And we are only FOUR points off the relegation places!
-
Areed with all that. I like speculation even more than the news. See OS for all that stuff! I am just glad that the club still exists.
-
I suppose that he would have to outbid Pinnacle, then? Seriously, this is fanastic news to have the planning consent through. Who would have predicted all the good news during last Summer.

Well, Hypo, I reckon that you have been given a lot of grief for expressing a reasonable OPINION that many of your critics did not care to read carefully and understand. My view is slightly different from your though, in that I am pleased we have signed him, but hopefully not paid too much; thinking that AP must feel that Seabourne CDAJFU. It is a little disappointing IMO that we have not completed a signing comparative to Fonte, but I hope that there will soon be news (maybe Ward, Stock, Danns, Jackson or anyone who has or not had pages of thread on this forum?) to make us all drool in excitement!

This thread is beginning to remind me of all the speculation over the alleged arrival of Paul Allen to buy SLH/SFC! Hope this story has a bit more reality in the end.
-
Agreed, but Fabregas is a bit injury prone for our squad. :p:p
-
Ah well; we are still 4 points clear of the relegation zone. Best not to get overexcited just yet.

AYE!

As the person mentioned in the title no longer has anything to do with Saints, perhaps this should be transferred to "the Muppets?" Thinking about this person could spoil the holiday season for many of us!
-
Thank you, Offix. Your sentiments will be shared by many of us. This has to be the best Christmas for Saints fans for many a year. Onwards and upwards, yes?

What player is most important to us right now
wightman35 replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Like the message at Staplewood implies, "teamwork." You are right in one way, but I'd agree with those who reckon that currently, Lambert is the key figure whose absence would be the most devastating. -
Many thanks to the admin team and the moderators for our splendid forum. Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year to all of you and equally to all the posters on here who make it such an enjoyable and informative site. :smt114

You are spot on there SSA. This is a bit like a kid waiting for Christmas this year after decade of fear.

I saw Ted Bates and george Curtis, when they came to my school to coach football. I was not allowed to speak to them as I was not in the first team. (Come to that, I did not even get in their Second lot. Prejudiced teachers............) Now where is that smiley thing?????????

I thought the Telegraph article was excellent. Credit to AP for a clear positive message on Saints behalf.
-
Probably correct, but then our Chairman (de facto Director of Football!) would still be he who must not be named.
-
I like that sentiment!
-
As he is from The Netherlands, perhaps he will be Agent Orange?
-
Yes. Agree with you and Tijuana Tim on this; especially if we can avoid injuries and/or Cards.
-
I am sure that it is "definitely." ( Sorry to be pedantic!)

In my "yoof" just after WW2, I used to watch Cowes at Westwood, but they had several former Saints players. Busby, Rolls, Laney and Lonnen to name a few, so it was a little like supporting Saints. Getting across to the Dell was expensive and amounted to a special day out!
