  1. Joshua tree near the ground showing it for those that want more of a matchday experience. Will be open for returning coaches too. Not sure what time it is opening before the coaches leave but worth a wander for last minute refueling.
  2. I started the thread on season ticket waivers. I was angry because I have followed home and away since 75 and it hurt me that nippers that weren't born then were slagging me. Emotive I know. Anyone, yes anyone, that pays to watch this team, this city is welcome. We are the pride of the south. We are Southampton. I will say again. We are Southampton. A small club that for many years has stood up to the big boys. We have beaten them on the pitch and stood our ground ( for right or wrong off of it). If you come to support our club, our team our town - you are welcome. Please come again. We come from Southampton. The pride of the South. Sorry if this sounds ott. But Southampton are back. Hello?
  3. Yes I love the passion and support of the northam - and the unswerving support and atmosphere they provide. Today, as they opened block 43, I thought it would be a change to take my nippers in there as a change to kingsland north or our preferred itchen 4 or 3/2/1 which stayed shut. When I say nippers they are 17 and 18 and I have been taking them since they were proper nippers. My first game game was 75, charlton at home. I've missed a handful of home games since then, and done many away days. In my younger days away from home I stood my ground and got a couple of right kickings. To stand in my own ground and have a bunch of my own - fellow saints - wave season tickets at me and call me a plastic fan. That hurt. That hurt more than any ****ings I ever took back in the day. I had a word with a couple of the lads - bit of banter they said. ******** - it was we are bigger, better fans than you. So would they prefer empty seats, away fans, or their own? Maybe some are occasional. Maybe some are at their first game ( hope you enjoyed it, please come again). So what. But you know it ****ed of my lads to whom I apologised for making a fuss. They have been home and away since as long as they can remember. They didnt understand. Why are saints fans slagging us off Dad?? Sorry, but to those that slagged us off - grow up, get real and grow some balls when someone calls you out over it. "WE, yes WE are Southampton" Despite all that - brilliant performance. So proud to be a mush and have my lads their to enjoy it with me. I thank-you all for allowing me to get that off my chest.
  4. Looked a class act last night - understanding with Fonte/Fox improving all the time. Takes the pressure off Jose as well. And he wants to be here and wants to stay past January.
  5. All blocks open. Less than 100 left.
  6. Block 3 is open.
  7. For me yes Had the pleasure of a quick chat with his (completely stunning ) good lady who intimated that he is both very happy here and keen to stay.
  8. Cheers for that - now any ideas on how to keep my 15 year old from impregnating his young lady that are legal!?
  9. All my tickets are priced at £24 on the tickets themselves yet three of them were bought as Junior tickets and charged as such. As one of my sons has disgraced himself in the family planning dept does anyone know if either, these junior tickets will be identified at the turnstyle or I can upgrade it as I would like to offer it to an adult friend who hasn't been able to get one. I don't want to pass it on for the poor bloke to be refused entry on the day.

But he does specialise in it
  11. A derisory thread from a terminally deluded luvvie. The club is on its knees by the hand of that foolish man and the best you can come up with is this inaccurate rubbish? The name Professor can rarely have been less apt.
  12. Scooby, Sundance and the Professor
  13. In his interview with Sir David Frost on sky recently Ferguson said that the most important person at the club is the manager (as you would expect a manager to say!) and he must have control over player issues. He has been quite successful I gather.
  14. I think wes asks some valid questions, but ones which will not be answered for some weeks to come. It would have been great for the young lads' confidence to hold on to the draw, but the nagging doubt that some of the lovely football we have seen so far will be to no avail against uncompromising, physically stronger and more experienced teams for me remains. To suggest Professor that we can already be sure that JP and the team can compete is one of the bolder statements you have made, especially based on only 90mins of competitive football. I hope you are right.
