I'd proof read your content before publishing if I were you Stu... Or have Bolton Wanderers moved to London??

And that's your perogotive.... I supported the CLUB long before Lowe arrived and I'll be supporting it long after he's gone. The personalitys come and go in football, the clubs remain...
-
The point is it's all ifs buts and maybes on something we'll never ever know the outcome of so there's little point arguing over it... Like it or not, Wilde and Lowe are back, trying to protect their investment and there's not a damn thing you or I can do about it unless we've get c£50m to buy them out and re-build the club.... All we can do is stay together as a fanbase and give the manager, sorry head coach, and the lads 100% backing....

McGoldrick self indulgence is our biggest problem.

Wouldn't we just.... But aren't we more likely to get that consistency from players such as DMG if they are given a bit of belief and encouragement? -

Didn't read like that to me due to the later comment that he does play well there sometimes. -
Absolutely, just as it can't be said if Crouch was still chairman and Pearson still manager we'd be in with a realistic chance of promotion.

So which is it?? He doesn't play where he is picked or he plays where he is picked? The guy's young, and trying to play in a position that he's not used to for the good of the team and yeah, makes some mistakes there and gets caught out drifting inside... I'm not disagreeing that he can expose the full-back at times and leave the team looking a little unbalanced but he's learning and as you say can get it right sometimes so is capable... A little more belief and encouragement will work wonders.... These are all young lads we are playing and confidence and belief is a delicate thing at their age that can very easily be destroyed and we all know that a large part of being successful in football is about confidence. -
Or we'd be in administration and bottom with 1 point after a 10 point deduction.

Whilst all this is true... We must remember that McGoldrick isn't a wide midfielder, he's a striker being asked to play out of position so it's not so surprising that he tends to drift into the middle a bit more than he should. -
Oh come on... that ball should never have been allowed to be crossed into the box in the first place.... You can't blame Mills for that just as you can't blame Kelvin for not saving it. None of the team played well today, and overall the defence was poor, but to single out Mills amongst that defence is a bit unfair!!
-
TBF not one of the goals can be attributed to Mills.... 3 of the 4 came from moves down our right side and the other was from a long throw... By all means have a moan, but make sure you're blaming the right people... Mills has been doing a decent job.

Sorry, I can't be bothered to read this whole thread... Can someone let me know who's currently ahead in this points scoring contest??

Considering it's going to take us a while to get back to the Prem I take it you don't believe you'll be getting that shiney new ground anytime soon!!

It's hard to argue against this although in the aftermath of WWI Great Britian was struggling to return to the gold standard at a parity with the pre-war period... This then led to monetry inflation in the US as the British economy faced deflationary pressures, inflexibility in prices causing large rises in unemployment and the British government then asked the US to help out with its net inflow of gold reserves. This monetry inflation in the US led to a credit-boom which was unsustainale and caused the debt situation that led to the depression. I don't believe that dropping Fractional Reserve Banking on our own can possibly work it would need the buy-in of all the major worldwide economies and I just can't see that happening....

What's worrying is that this should be simply a normal recession cycle. However, with the current but understandable concern surrounding the banking sector we are tettering on the edge of not just a worldwide recession but a collapse to rival the great depression. It's accepted that one of the major causes of the great depression was debt... 1920's America relied on cheap credit. This encouraged short term growth but created high levels of debt. Once a recession cycle began and prices became deflated these high levels of debt became unservicable with businesses having to layoff staff, banks who had financed the debt began to fail as debtors defaulted on loans and mortgages and, worried by this, depositors began withdrawing funds. The US government attempted to stave off the crisis with guarantees and federal reserve regulations but failed. Bank failures then snowballed as banks called in loans which borrowers, including other banks, could not repay. Banks then became more surcumspect in their loaning and built up their capital reserves, making fewer loans. This increased deflationary pressures and the whole recession cycle spun out of control and became the biggest single economic depression of modern times..... Sound familiar anyone??

Also, there's a free bus that runs from White City tube station to Shepherds Bush tube and back again whilst the station is closed. For anyone who's planning on driving, the traffic around Shepherds Bush at the moment is an absolute nightmare. There's various lanes closed around the Green itself and Wood Lane is currently one way only (Southbound) so you can't drive from Shepherds Bush Green up towards White City Tube. The natural alternative to this, and the route currently taken by the buses that would go north along Wood Lane when on diversion, takes you along South Africa Road, which is directly outside the stadium and normally gets closed by the police when games are on. If you are driving I'd make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
