  1. Blimey... Millwall's website looks strangely like ours!!!
  2. It may it may not be because the league think we have a case but, at the end of the day, the league can stipulate whatever conditions they like in order to grant any particular group membership of it's "club"... All they are saying is "if you want to be in our gang then you play by our rules or you're not in the gang and we reserve the right to change the rules whenever we want"!!!! Unfair, very possibly, illegial, I seriously doubt it!!!
  3. Channel 984 if you've got Sky!!!
  4. I would guess it very much depends on your bank... So far, in 3 weeks, we've had £3.5k worth of fraudulent cheques hit our current account. Reported it to the bank and we've worked out that we've never received the cheque book that's being used. Now we've informed them they reverse the cheques straight away, but we're still £1500 down for the cheques paid before we informed them and various charges, including them reviewing whether to pay one of the cheques or not, and we won't get that back until their fraud department has investigated!!!
  5. Think you'll find it does!!
  6. The ref did bottle some huge decisions though... How he didn't give the penalty for the Pique handball I'll never know!!
  7. I think he's a County fan rather than Forest... And isn't Dexter only on loan there??
  8. Interesting comment about Redknapp at the end of that article too!!!
  9. Here's hoping... Although I think their game against Charlton is slightly easier than Barnsley's against Plymouth!!
  10. Click the start button and there's a white box just above that you can type in... Just type it in there.
  11. Norwich aren't actually down yet!!!
  12. Which set of fans threw the smoke bomb first then???
  13. Think you'll find he owns the Mumbi Indians and it's a Twenty20 cricket league!!!
  14. Is it not the case that the "mortgage" is actually a debt of St Marys Stadium Limited, another wholely owned subsidary of SLH PLC and therefore simply an asset of the holding company in the same way the football club is, and that the repayments are annual and usually covered by advanced season ticket sales? As previously mentioned, Southampton Football Club Limited and St Marys Stadium Limited could, and probably would be sold for a nominal fee. This being the case, then providing the mortgage payments can continue to be met albeit with some possible restructuring, any buyer would need to find the necessary funds to clear the overdraft with Barclays (£4.1m) and provide sufficient working capital to pay a decent pence in the pound value to smaller creditors. The business would then need to ensure that it's operating costs could be met from matchday income, sponsorship and other ancilliary activites. So, rather than needing upwards of £30m are we not looking at a figure more around the £10m mark???
  15. Let's just hope that the Corbett's donation of Jackson's Farm to the club finally achieves their intended aim of doing some good for the club!!!
  16. Surely it also affects the likelihood of finding another buyer for the club who can deal with the overdraft, as without a 10 point penalty the club is a slightly more attractive proposition.... Something Barclays are very very interested in!!!
  17. Let's hope it's not Paul Allen!!! http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/03/30/charter_communications_chapter_11/
  18. Main reason for the high interest rates currently on loans and mortgages is that the financial institutions don't actually WANT to lend to anyone right now... They've had their fingers seriously burnt recently and are very very nervous about lending at all... Last January the Bank Of England base rate was at 5.5% and my mortgage lender gave me a fixed rate of 5.49% for 2 years... They've kindly written to me this month to offer me a new fixed rate as interest rates have dropped so much over the last year, the Bank Of England base rate now being at 0.5%, they are even offering to waive the early redemption penalty and arrangement fees whilst offering a staggeringly great rate of 4.69% fixed for 2 years!!! They believe that if they keep the loan and mortgage rates much higher than base then it will put people off taking credit from them!
  19. I use 3 different software apps to achieve this... DVDFab to rip just the main movie portion of the DVD to the PC DVD Shrink to turn the ripped VIDEO.TS & AUDIO.TS into an ISO Fairuse Wizard to encode the ISO into an AVI... With this you can specify the size of the final avi file you want... It's not the quickest of processes but it does work well and produce good quality AVI's I've converted around 1000 DVDs using this method without a single problem!!
