  1. BBC has finally caught up. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/premier-league/
  2. I watched the season reviews on August on September on Saints Player the other day. There are some great goals there and some fine interplay between Lambert, Lallana, Connolly and of course Guly. In many ways it was the best football of the season. Very offensive.
  3. Have Everton put £5m on the table? Have they even got £5m? It seems not. What are the consequences for Rodriguez if he stalls and waits on a wing and prayer for Everton to find a bit of cash down the back of the sofa? Well Saints probably won't fanny about and they'll go and sign Hooper (just saying). What's Rodriguez's fall back position in this scenario should Everton remain skint? He stays at Burnley for another year and runs down his contract. Fine in theory but in practice he completely stuffs his home town club which he has always supported and which needs the money now to sign players. So I take your point, the player's in a strong position but it's not so simple as you say.
  4. Personally I cannot see a downside, other than possibly very high wages, to signing Green and have thought so since I heard by the middle of last season that he was unsettled. England goalkeeper on a free. What's not to like?
  5. The Mirror story might have more credibility if it were a club with financial clout that wanted to make a rival bid for Rodriquez but the club mentioned is Everton which apparently has to sell to make an offer that will be less than Saints'. Doesn't make sense. And Burnley appear desperate to get funds asap to make their own signings. Why would Burnley and the player hang around for Everton, in expectation that they may or may not be able to raise the cash through player sales.
  6. I'm making a point but you've failed to understand. I won't patronise you by spelling it out but here's a clue - it was just for balance you understand.
  7. Frankly, I know nothing about this young Chelsea reserve that's played in Belgium and to the best of my knowledge I've never seen him play.
  8. Funny old hat she's wearing. See Sunny Jim, son of Portsmouth, looking longingly at the cup.
  9. Was Guthrie the chubby one? We don't want any porkers.
  10. We didn't over achieve. We exceeded most people's expectations.
  11. Cut it out you apologists. I know what I saw and it wasn't a flock of fcking seagulls.
  12. Good point well made.
  13. It's a broad church. All are welcome. As long as the fu*ckers don't push me down the queue for tickets.
  14. The answer's out there. A meaning will emerge when we least expect it. On the other hand it could be ********.
  15. Yes he can and very effectively though I think he won't play it as a matter of course as I believe we'll generally play two up front.
  16. Adkins was at the play off final too. So looking at a Blackpool player maybe.
  17. Not wishing to throw cold water on this but if the man in charge doesn't know his North Africa from his East Africa, nor which colonial language is generally spoken in each region and he's been planning this for three years.....quite funny in a way but it doesn't inspire confidence.
  18. Interesting but odd. It's usually the other way round with Managers wanting to spend big and Chairmen not. And how does this square with sustainability - financial fair play and all the rest of it like with the investment in the Academy and bringing players through? There may well be differences between the two but I'm not sure this is quite one of them.
  19. We'd need the CL winning team to come with him though.
  20. Graffito

    Sky tv

Prefer to go to the matches or go down the pub and watch when I can't go and it's on Sky. Also think the packages are not good value.
  21. Quality player but age and injury has caught up with him and it seemed inevitable he would be released. I heard two seasons ago from a couple of people up here in North London where he still has connections that he was doing or intended doing his coaching badges.
  22. Holloway need only pin that to the dressing room wall today.
  23. You can't beat a nice ornage shirt.
  24. Michael Owen is available.....for Weddings, Funerals and Bar Mitzvahs perhaps.
  25. It would take some balls and would stretch credulity for Liverpool's American owners to replace with someone most Liverpool fans have probably never heard of a Liverpool legend sacked after just 12 months in the job.
