  1. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/615559409?-11205:798 Some mixed messages in there. Seems to be - Hooper's not for sale...but he is for sale if you offer us enough money.
  2. "The only thing I worry about is putting on the Southampton shirt and performing week in week out" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2245423/Southampton-says-Jason-Puncheon.html
  3. Respect to Lambert for not going down. We're generally a very honest side all round which is credit to Adkins and the players.
  4. Could be earwax. Try using a cotton bud.
  5. The goal at Fratton was primarily Lallana's fault in wandering off and leaving the scorer unmarked. Sometimes people see what they want to see don't they?
  6. At 5 euros a pint I'm not surprised you can't afford your subs.
  7. On the bench my @rse.
  8. In his Saintsplayer interviews Adkins says he will talk to Ramirez on his return and thinks he'll want to play. To me there was an implication that Adkins would like to play him.
  9. Le Fondre seems confident: "... if we play against Southampton like we did against Manchester United I don't think we will have any problems."
  10. True but if you go with a hedge fund you know what to expect.
  11. Let's have these f@ckers. Sorry but it's how I feel after last season. So ends my constructive contribution.
  12. Maybe payment was withheld because the Dome was ****ed.
  13. So will you now stfu about attendances?
  14. To make it more interesting Reading and Sunderland play on Tuesday.
  15. Yes you could see it coming. I recall an occasion, probably the early seventies, when Saints played Chelsea. A Chelsea mob in the Milton. No segregation and no trouble until the final whistle when all hell broke loose. It just wasn't safe for the ordinary supporter and something had to be done.
  16. Just before kick off he would roll up his shorts as far as they would go, like you would roll up your sleeves to start work.
  17. The man who held up the sack for players to try and aim their kick about balls into before kick off.
  18. Thanks for posting that, I enjoyed reading it. I didn't start attending until the very end of the 60's but I remember things being then pretty much as described in the article. I think the club could more to connect with it's fans, with the wider community and to the club's history and heritage but of course at the end of the day it's football that's changed and taken the club with it.
  19. For what period? Who or what is the source of this info (don't mean @robharris)?
  20. For what period? Who or what is the source of this info (don't mean @robharris)?
  21. Surely we don't have that level of unfounded self regard. We're not Geordies.
  22. Liverpool will have played 3 games in 6 days too and their squad is not so deep these days.
  23. Having the benefit of hindsight you may well right. May I refer you to post no67.
  24. To add insult he booked him as well. There were fouls in that match that deserved yellows, one in the first half when Ramirez or Lallana (I can't remember for certain) was clean away and was blatantly tripped from behind and no booking.
  25. Take Gazzaniga out of the spotlight and put Kelvin in at Anfield. I don't hold with one of our young promising players being called a clown. Supporters ffs.
