  1. There will be swathes of St Mary's that won't boo him. As someone said earlier, hope it's a great atmosphere to help us to 3 points against a top four rival.
  2. Tottenham by some distance, for the reasons given above plus Pochettino. Good coach though he is I disliked how he aligned himself with Cortese rather than the club, the way he left which turned out to be dishonest, his disingenuous comments about Southampton before the away fixture, his recent ridiculous comments about Koeman having a ready made team.
  3. Biggest losers of the lot.

    Danny Ings

That's a pity. It was my Dad's local for many years. Thanks for the reply Mcwills.
  5. I noticed the condition of the pitch even before kick off. A premiership club that's had millions spent on it can't even get the basics right.

    Danny Ings

Just picked up on mention earlier in this thread of Ings having played for Hamble Harriers. Are the Harriers still going? Amazing if so. Takes me back about 40 years to the original team sponsored by the Harrier pub.
  7. http://metro.co.uk/2015/02/07/unlucky-southampton-fan-pays-38-for-this-terrible-view-at-qpr-5053643/? Scandalous. This wasn't my view but I did feel for the poor sods in that corner. You could hear them but couldn't see them.
  8. He's a good coach but we have better in Koeman. We were worth a point at WHL.
  9. That's a bargain all the way via Crawley and across London. I was happy to pay £15 return from Euston to New St. Could have got tickets for £12 on that noddy train than runs from Marylebone to Moor St.
  10. Although they are at home, do we think QPR might change tactics, sit back and hit us on the break or hope for a goal from set pieces? Swansea will not have escaped their notice. If so, then the onus is back on creating and finishing and the first goal will be important.
  11. My guess is that it's simply a literal translation into English from a manager's own language. E.g. the Spanish "en este momento" is common and means literally "in this moment" but might be translated as "at the moment" or the awful phrase "this moment in time." As long as the speaker communicates what they mean, I don't see why it matters if the english isn't perfect. I think I know exactly what Koeman means even if what he says is grammatically incorrect and sometimes uses entirely wrong words. On the other hand I was often not entirely sure what native speaker Nigel Adkins was on about.
  12. As said in an interview with a Catalan radio station. Perhaps he's got his eyes on the prize, his next move, the Big One. Building popular support from a public, most of which knows nothing of Saints and Tottenham and wont recognise his revisionist nonsense. On the other hand, maybe he's just ****.
  13. If you look on the Network Railcard website or the relevant page of Network Rail, you'll find a map of the area covered by the Network Railcard. It doesn't extend as far as Birmingham. From memory it goes as far as somewhere like Milton Keynes. If you get a Birmingham train that stops at MK (e.g. some of those from Euston), you can split your journey: Buy the first part from Southampton, or wherever you start from, to MK. This will be covered by the NR Card and you'll get a third off. The second part of the journe,y MK to Birmingham, will be standard price. You stay on the same train. No changes necessary.
  14. And I think United got players back from injury after he went there. Could all be coincidence but makes you wonder.
  15. It's just that we're not box office. Never have been and probably never will be.
  16. I question the value of pace against teams that sit so deep. Surprised Elia wasn't the one to make way.Mane did well when he came on playing in and around Pelle. If RK hadn't wanted to play him in that position from the start then Tadic in a floating role. His crosses were poor so put him up close to Pelle where he can do some damage, like when he took 3 Man Utd defenders out of the game with one half turn in the build up to his goal. He can hold the ball up and can thread a short pass through. The criticism of Pelle is a bit harsh. He won virtually everything in the air. Problem being they were balls played from deep when he had his back to goal. As ever, it's lack of creativity that has cost us, and on this occasion I suppose the few good chances falling to JWP who lacks composure in finishing.
  17. http://www.football-italia.net/62061/osvaldo-only-wants-juve? Quoted here demanding what he must have. We should sell this nob to Dewhursts for sausages.
  18. We'd have been lower on the MoTD roster had we won.
  19. Palace must be kicking themselves going through to the 5th round when they need to concentrate on staying up.
  20. M Tbh if he opens his big fat tottenham gob in any part of the home sections he'll get kicked out and he might just be grateful.
  21. Like to see a table with tv revenue stripped out.
  22. Yes we need to find our USP. THE NBC documentary took a David an Goliath angle with the Academy strongly featured.
  23. Cheers for the heads up. That's one I'm particularly interested in. But it's around £80 a ticket from Euston as well.
  24. Thinking about booking away travel to other upcoming away fixtures, where do the televised fixtures take us to, end of March or beyond.
