  1. Nice bit of revisionism "dorkish" Not quite so fulsome in your praise in this one. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?12867-Schneiderlin-Saints-Biggest-Waste-of-Cash-Ever/page3&highlight=Schneiderlin+Wotton#.UmLhzcu9KSM
  2. Yeah, good article. Though I'm reserving judgement on the new players and how they compare until I've actually seen them play a few times.
  3. I clicked. Panic over.
  4. Probability isn't particularly relevant. There's a clear distinction to be made between good decisions and good outcomes. Signing MS was a poor decision imo (due to the circumstances in which the club found itself) which had a very good outcome. I think there's a tendency to view the quality of decisions at least partly by their outcomes i.e.with the benefit of hindsight. Anyway, I dont want to sound like the house pedant. That's someone elses job on here. None of this is any reflection on MS at 18. His quality was evident even then.
  5. The difficulties that last year's departed players have had are not in doubt but I think there's a bit of wishfull thinking here about this year's, especially MS. No way was our team built around him. He's actually the complete opposite. He plays for the team. That's his strength.
  6. Outcome bias. If MS had done his cruciate ligaments in his first season and never recovered what would we be saying about the decision to sign a French 18 year old for £1.2m when the club was broke and facing a struggle to stay up?
  7. Should've given it another 12 months then and got Real Madrid.
  8. The facts speak for themselves. Tottenham is a big club. I assume that's why you've spent valuable time posting on here, that you want this acknowledged.so once again, Tottenham is a Big Club. I agree also that Tottenham was big five and is now big six. Don't be too complacent about West Ham. They have the big stadium soon, paid for largely by London tax payers like me. Not quite a game changer on the scale of Man City, which did for Lerner at Villa, but nonetheless a credible threat to your top six.
  9. He was building his own future.
  10. Is she about to get her purse out?
  11. Although they have achieved fourth place finishes twice in recent years, under none other than old Bollock Chops of Sandbanks, I can't see him going there.
  12. Two things: 1. Koeman is an "honourable guy" if he were to see out his contract yet we complain about players doing the same. 2. Ferguson once let it be known that he was retiring and performances suffered. This will be a difficult one for the club to manage.
  13. I gave up on pre-season friendlies a few years ago and watched that against my better judgement. Wish I hadn't bothered. We learn little from these games except don't bother with friendlies, they just wind you up.
  14. That commentator. Oh my word, what a muppet.
  15. Really, it's ok to admit you're wrong.
  16. It is not I that's confused companero. I suggest you take a look at the team sheet and listen to the commentator.
  17. Juamni?? How does Juan Miguel become Juamni? And Leipzig pronouced Leepsig, that's another cracker.

  19. Good answer but you're wasting your time on him.

I should think its quite likely. Probably needn't be £5m though

Absolutely. What goes around comes around. Have it Levy.
  23. Twas tongue in cheek a little bit. The comparison is superficial. They both run fast with their heads down and seem quite one footed. Beyond that, they could be chalk and cheese for all I know, which obviously isn't much.
