  1. A load of middle aged muppets singing made up words to the tunes of nursery rhymes and crass pop songs.
  2. It was indeed. Quality.
  3. About as cringe worthy and small time as fawning over another club's supporters.
  4. Another bandwagon. Yawn.
  5. Agree. Great ball for Rodriguez which was an opportunity he should have buried. Two decent passes in the whole game. That one and Lambert's through ball to McManaman which should have been a penalty. Both should have been goals. I'd actually give Tadic a try more centrally. He doesn't have pace for playing out wide but he can hold the ball up and thread a pass. Just needs to move the ball a bit quicker sometimes. Ron could sort that.
  6. Do it. We might not hear you if you're not there. Alternatively, go to church if you want to sing along. Though they might not let you in wearing the dog outfit. Maybe just the dog collar.
  7. Correct. Some academic should research it and report his findings. Who knows we might find it's referees that are most susceptible to crowd pressure.
  8. Seems vocal support has minimal impact on performance even with home advantage. If you want to influence the game, concentrate on the ref. Managers do it, players do it. Put refs under pressure and we might just influence a few key decisions. http://freakonomics.com/2011/12/18/football-freakonomics-how-advantageous-is-home-field-advantage-and-why/
  9. Dull game but I'm ok with that performance. Much better than the 0-0 v Watford. Confident we have a firm defensive foundation to build on. Flawless performance from VVD. As so often, struggled to create much but that's been the story so often, especially against West Brom. From behind the goal it was apparent there was space on occasions between West Brom's fullbacks and centrebacks which we didn't exploit. That's surely what JR was on there to do.
  10. This is how I've justified it previously but I've resisted on this occasion. Strangely pleased I have. This weekend feels like a much better deal. Ticket £25. Train £20.
  11. The Wellington and Old Joint Stock are close by each other and 5 minutes walk from Snow Hill station. The Old Contemptibles is adjacent Snow Hill station so a good one to finish up at. All have a good range of beers especially ales. The Wellington is probably the best for ale. I'm sorry to report that it smelled of wet farts when I was in there prior to the corresponding fixture last year. Since I visited all three and the other two had good air quality I'm satisfied it wasn't me or anyone I was with. Anyway, a small price to pay for the beer. I expect it's clear by now. The Old Joint Stock is a beautiful pub inside and outside.
  12. Enjoyed the scenery. All those hills and trees. Very scenic. One positive, though qualified by the standard of opponent, Shelvey. Also, Hoddle is annoyingly perceptive.
  13. Model's good. As ever, the uncertainty is in the execution. So far so very good and we'll see how we go over coming seasons.
  14. No it's because Paul's bit fick. He gave Arsenal (signed one player) a B.
  15. No but it would have been worse had we sold.
  16. Adebayor wanted a £5m pay off.
  17. Oh no Laughing Boy's back.
  18. Had a vile pint of Guinness in there once. Second worse one I've ever had.
  19. St Mary's could have been a catalyst for regeneration, as redevelopment of WHL will be for Seven Sisters Rd though on a lesser scale. It was a missed opportunity. It will happen at some point but it needs foresight, political will and yes a lot of money to improve the infrastructure, especially connectivity.
  20. Disagree. I know there are arguments for out of town football stadia but to me they symbolise much of what has gone awry with modern football which is becoming ever more divorced from it's roots.
  21. Savage doesn't mention money once in that article.
  22. It's on it's way. Got mine this morning.
  23. ********. That was "b@llocks" in case you didn't work it out.
  24. No but it wasn't through lack of effort but that the effort was misdirected, by Ronald sadly.
  25. Agree. Far too much negativity around. Larger squad should benefit us in both domestic cup competitions. Somebody's got to win them, why not Saints.
