Yep and no journalist's name either. And the Echo reporting on a non article..shoddy.
-
Good post Damon. But why do some Bournemouth fans hate Saints but not, apparently, the Skates? After all they are the Premiership club?
-
CB Fry, was the above post really necessary?
-
Tbf the loan system is intended to benefit the parent club as well.

I don't recall ever having met a Bouremouth fan.

Looks like it. We've finally learnt how to play on a cr*p pitch.
-
Can we bring our flags on the coach?

Thank heavens the JPT journey is over this weekend

Really looking forward to Sunday and a big celebration of the renaissance of our club and a win for the team. Then a surge towards the play offs. -
Martin Samuel, Daily Mail on Coretese: "self serving" and a "buffoon"

Except that they weren't wealthy...or is that sarcasm as well? -

Yeah you're right. On reflection, it's sarcasm. -

Cortese's public comments on Pardew sit at odds with his actions, he's backed Pardew's judgement in the transfer market. You could argue that actions speak louder than words but if a PL club comes in for Pardew he may well go especially if he feels unappreciated. As for the article, I agree with a comment above, it makes some useful points but I didn't like the manner in which they are made. I thought this bit was telling "Then there is Southampton, where the delightful Rupert Lowe was followed by a succession of wealthy populists who claimed to have the interests of the club at heart but succeeded only in running it into the ground". -
Whenever I've seen Tommy Smith against Saints he's done well.

Walton was promoted to the Football League List of referees in 1998, despite a reported comment from the former Wimbledon manager Joe Kinnear that he was "too thick to become a referee". Quoted in Wiki. Peter Walton was the ref conned into giving a penalty by Liverpool's Ngog when there was absolutely no contact. I note that he was meant to have retired last year, having reached the refs retirement age of 49, but appealed successfully for a 1 yr extension.

Saint Stevo - that must have been some hangover man.
-
Worst refereeing performance I've seen in all the years I've been watching. He got plenty of stick and it was fully justified but just imagine what the reaction would have been like if this imbecile's incomprehensible decisions had cost us a win we thoroughly deserved.
-
It cost a fortune, and has a major design flaw

Ken Bates then. -
What does Cortese do if we finish exactly 10 points off the play offs - toss a coin? At this stage in the squad's development the focus should be on performances rather than points. I see progress.

I'm hoping for the likes of these teams to get the jitters, starting on Tuesday night. It's all if, buts and maybe's but we've seen time and again the pressure get to sides near the top when it gets to the sharp end of the season. If we can get them looking over their shoulders anything could happen.
-
If AP has resigned why would he have done the post match interview? I reckon he's disappointed with Cortese's comments of a couple of weeks ago, thinks they're unfair and unhelpful and have brought undue pressure and then some idiot presenter continues the theme just after Pardew's team has demolished Walsall 5-1. No wonder he sounded a bit p*ssed off.
-
Correct. He can certainly pass the ball well. Give him options and he'll make the most of them.
-
Nice try at gaining the moral high ground but your final sentence suggests you are being disingenuous. No sympathy here. Sorry.
-
I look at this situation from a slightly different perspective. If the performaces are right and they are improving then the results will follow, maybe not immediately but eventually. Performances have been mixed. I think this is partly to do with selection and tactics but probably more to do with the number of new players we've signed.
-
Because we've drawn games we should have won and the teams in the play off positions are in form. They are putting pressure on Norwich and Leeds.
-
Good example of why knee jerk reactions often backfire. They replaced him with Mancini who has a worse record.
-
"They are through to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final and you might be surprised how much that means to their fans." I find this a tad patronising. Claridges true colours showing perhaps.
