  1. Another word on the support yesterday. From my position behind one of the goals the noise from the East Stand was incredible. When Saints scored the whole stand erupted. It was quite a spectacle.
  2. If you look on Orient' OS they say no cash sales at turnstiles but tickets for all parts of the ground (not the East Stand surely?) are available from the ticket office under the West Stand or over the phone. I got tickets in the South Stand through someone on their database but he's not an Orient fan so there has to be a first time for phoning up and getting on their database. Worth a call.
  3. Ok lads, good effort tonight. Let's all shut ourselves down now and reactivate at Orient.
  4. It wasn't especially busy nor especially quiet, about right. The weather was fine so it was possible to spill out into the garden. It's a good option and it's where we're going once we get to Leyton.
  5. Don't buy off touts. Ring Orient and buy a ticket in the South Stand.

  7. Fonte.
  8. Just tried Orient's on line sales and our match shown as "unavailable" even although all other matches before and after 9 April can be booked on line. Could be they are tightening up their procedures to prevent Saints fans buying or could it be a temporary restriction while they carve out for seats for us?
  9. I think you'll win it BHA and fair play when you do. I do agree that there may be a wobble before that happens. The closer it gets to the finishing line, the greater the weight of expectation and that can weigh like a ton and inhibit performance. There's many a slip between cup and lip. Should you slip up Saints are probably best placed to catch you.
  10. It had to be that goofy dwarf who scored.
  11. That's disappointing. Despite Orient saying the allocation was a full allocation, let's hope they do make more tickets available. Their stadium holds 9,136. They normally get between 4 and 5k and their biggest league attendance so far this season has been 6,449 against Sheff Wed. No idea what allocation Sheff Wed got but some pay on the day tickets were available to them. If no more tickets are made available then I'll find a way to get in the home end.
  12. Saints never do well against sides that close down quickly forcing us to play it long rather than build. I normally sit high in the stands but last night I was at the front and could see close up how our players were constantly pressured by Charlton with inevitable consequences for the quality of play. Being closer to the pitch it was clear, especially first half how, well Fonte reads the game, anticipates danger and defends. Likewise, second half it was notable how much effort Barnard puts in and also the constant fouling of Lambert which was not penalised by the officials. I'm not sure what's happened to Chaplow though, he wasn't at the races.
  13. Was it "Pop to the Shops"?
  14. Th Oozlum bird. Flies around in ever decreasing circles and disappears up it's own fundament.
  15. Lucky dump? I just laid a cable. Watch out Charlton.
  16. I can't see Adkins splitting up the Lambert/Barnard partnership.

It doesn't shout out that the money has dried up. You're guessing. Why would Adkins enquire about the player if there were no money to pay his wages?
  18. Megson - “It’s a nice ground (not as good as ours), the crowd will be big (not as good as ours), so we’re not going to one of the smaller places in League One, and we have to cope with that rather than some of the things we have been struggling to cope with recently.”

So he wants to come on loan with a permanent move at the end of the season, subject to Saints going up, and with a contract no worse than what he has with Reading?
  20. The Market Porter in Borough Market is a good old fashioned pub. Usually a good few Saints fans in there before Charlton matches and it's where we are going. Then a short train journey to Charlton. If you want a singing pub go to the Antigallican (sic) near the ground. Or do both.
  21. After last night's drubbing they'll be desperate to avoid defeat. Unless we get an early goal, a disappointing 0 - 0.
  22. [quoteAnd This Bloke Is Supposed To Be A Saints Fan Exactly what I thought when I read it. I generally refrain from criticism of the Echo but I do think this and one or two other Echo articles about the match with Bournemouth are a bit pathetic.
  23. Is this because you think they will go up this season or you think Saints will? If the latter, then aren't you being what you accuse other Saints fans of being, arrogant?
  24. Who are you quoting?
