  1. Looking at your join date I'd say you're still at the novelty point with our friend Alps. After a year or two it becomes rather grating, beyond that comedy genius. Trust me, you'll get there in the end. Yes he occasionally makes a valid point, unfortunately it's always worded with copious amounts of hysteria and melodrama.
  2. You take a reasonable question and embellish it with your usual brand of melodrama. Intolerable?! I'm bloody speechless.

That's what I was getting at, it's always the same.

I wouldn't even bother mate. Turks is one of those blokes that's so certain of his own self importance there's no arguing with him. He reminds me of that bloke in the pub who always talks over everyone else at top volume, spouting forth about how great they are while ridiculing those with opposing thoughts. In fact I seem to remember he lives or used to live in Basingstoke so maybe he was that bloke in the pub. Thank god I moved.

And as for you Chalet, years of this crap from Alpine must have taught you something?

We obviously felt we had a good chance of making the transfer permanent and that it was our preferred CB deal. I dare say if he goes to Spurs we'll move on to other targets. In the meantime feel free to continue to panic.
  7. Just goes to show how ****ed up football is. In any other job he'd have been sacked long ago. Seems the only way a player doesn't get a pay-off for being a **** is if they rape, murder or fail a drugs test.
  8. I may be being thick but where does the 'green is such an unlucky colour' come from?
  9. I think Reed was quoted as saying Stephens and Turnbull would go back out on loan next season but to a Championship side.
  10. I know Turks got a few high fives for his button mashing, beetroot faced response, but this is a really ****ing top post. Sheer class. Unlike our former captain.
  11. Been poor defensively and the two defensive mids have given the ball away too many times.
  12. Not sure Southgate knows what he's doing. That's not a criticism of him leaving JWP on the bench but more the fact that he doesn't seem to want to play the same midfield for consecutive games.
  13. Greenbelt stands for jack these days. Ask those who used to live on the edge of Basingstoke. Much of the farmland they used to look out over is now more houses, retail or business parks. The council have permission to build on the farm next to Roman Road in Winklebury now. With the Tories wanting to get the construction industry booming again at any costs, most attempts to build on greenbelt will happen.
  14. I know where you're coming from, but tbh we all felt the same last season and it turned out to be better. Suck it in and wait to see what happens next season.
  15. Nope here it is. Not sure how reliable. http://www.swindon.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=401000
  16. Seem to remember Reed saying he wanted to loan Stephens and Turnbull out again this season but to a Championship side. Maybe I imagined it.
  17. Just texted his dad to tell him forget about Liverpool. If he comes to us he'll probably end up there eventually anyway! Besides I'd imagine he could learn more from Koeman, one of the best attacking CBs ever, than Rogers.
  18. Joe is a centre back not a full back. His younger brother is at school with my eldest. Nice down to earth kid, been with Charlton for years.
  19. Because he's a ****? Seriously though he might have meant it as a joke. Sometimes hard for tone of voice to come across on here.
  20. I'd imagine almost anyone who likes alternative music would know that song. Was also used by Baz Luhrmann for the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack back in the 90s. However, it was meant in jest, I'm aware we'll be stuck with generic pap for any new player that comes in.
  21. Lol! Surely has to be Juanmi Song by The Wannadies? Juanmi always scores for the Saints Juanmi always scores for the Saints Baa Ba Baa Ba Baa
  22. My thoughts exactly.
  23. We all thought that about Bertrand this season. I don't think Jenkinson's a bad player at all. And I'd trust that if he came, Koeman could straighten any kinks out.
  24. I think the pity is that such a great promo campaign has all been for a rather bland kit. It's alright but I really thought it might have been something a little more distinctive, like the old '76 home kit.
