Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

Not to mention always offside. -
Far from stressed mate, frankly it's rather funny.
-
Yeah doomed mate, just like Swansea last summer. From what I can tell they bought seven players last summer. As far as I am aware, up until the same time last year they'd only signed two of those. Graham who obviously had a good season and a reserve goalkeeper who never played. The other five included Vorm, Tremmel (another non playing keeper), Routledge & Lita (squad players) and Situ (never played). Hardly sets the world alight does it?

Just logged on to say something similar. Could be the agent want's a bigger cut than we're willing to pay.
-
This the same Gazzaniga that KBS mentioned would be a good target two days ago? Funny that.

OK hang on, just let me get my Dutch phrase book out...
-
Christ is this still going?

I dare say you still watch home games from Milton Road, must be a great view down there.

I don't have a problem with people posting they think it's ****e. I have a problem with some people's reactions. Firstly there's the 'we are Southampton, we are red and white stripes' brigade. Yeah I know that for the majority of our history that's what we've worn, but as I said earlier we weren't red and white stripes for the whole of the 1980's. Those who claim the Xerox/Air Florida kit was essentially stripes are talking out of their arse. One white stripe up the middle of the shirt doesn't make a shirt striped. The stripes on the Hummel one were tiny and only over one half of the shirt and one sleeve. The amount of white is the issue in this case, not the striping. Secondly there are those who claim they are embarrassed by the kit, especially as we are now we are back in the prem. If you are embarrassed what difference does it make what bloody division we're in? I'm not embarrassed by the team or the club in it's current guise. Look what they've achieved in the last three seasons. I was embarrassed when the last owners were in charge and it looked like we were going out of existence. Embarrassing would be getting relegated again with a record low points tally and being knocked out of both cups by pompey, not the team wearing a kit I don't like. I do think that Cortese could communicate with the fans more over reasoning for some of his decisions. I do think that we'll get some stick from other fans this season, particularly those of Liverpool and ManU. But, if the team performs in a way that makes me proud I won't give two hoots about the rest. I'm more disappointed that Adkin's hope that he'd have one or two new faces in before pre-season started hasn't come off.

Well I seem to have voted 'good heavens, no', but this is due to my fingers being too fat for my iPhone! Actually wanted the one at the bottom. Not overly enamoured of either kit at the moment but to be brutally honest, some of the mewling on here's effin embarrassing! For those carping on about how Southampton always wear red and white stripes, ******. For the entire of the 1980's we did not have one fully striped kit. Get over it. Nice to see that the goodwill of our return to the prem can be so easily scuppered. Bodes well for the trials of the season ahead.
-
I mentioned this yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
-
Or maybe we're trying to bring the kit more in line with the national colours of both England and our Swiss owners? Wouldn't be surprised to see the black gone completely. White shorts? Maybe Navy blue as some have suggested. Would fit with something mentioned earlier in the thread.
-
Seems to be quite a bit of that going about.
-
On numerous occasions, last season and the one before. What are you guys basing your judgement on, a ropey showing in the cup final? Most of the Liverpool team were poor on that day. When Dalgleish first took over the season before last, Spearing was excellent. That was before Dalgleish went on a midfielder buying bender and ruined the shape and fluidity that they'd had when he first took charge.

So, one of these?
-
Absolute joke the reaction on here. He's so much better than Hammond it's not true. I've watched Liverpool a lot the last couple of seasons and while he's made a few mistakes and had a couple of rough games he's still got the potential to be a really good player. The back end of the season before last he was superb. Young players can be inconsistent or haven't you noticed.

My point is that you are guilty of getting worked up over things you read or see on the Internet. Pretty close to that which you are accusing others of. The irony is that you don't see it.
-
Keep your hair on (if you have any even). It's funny how the people foaming at the mouth about people foaming at the mouth on the Internet completely fail to see the irony of their situation.

Can't believe I had to become a full member to sort that out!

Apologies for the shoddy nature of the neck but didn't have all night! So is this what we think is gonna be unveiled on Friday? Sorry dropped a bollock on original image

Just goes to show that it's a matter of opinion doesn't it? I think over the last few years Umbro have been about the best kit designers around. Adidas on the other hand produce mostly god awful rubbish. Nike seem to inhabit the middle ground, a few shockers (new ManU), OK but not amazing (Arsenal) and pretty cool (new French home and away). By all means take it that these comments make me ghey as you call it. Alternatively maybe I have just an ounce of style.
