I trust him to try do what's right for our club. Whether I trust him to make the right decision everytime is another matter but I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise.

I'm sorry mate, as I said be concerned, voice your concerns, just do it in a balanced manner rather than resorting to histrionics almost everytime*. You really seem to be oblivious to how much of a cartoon character you seem to some of us. I think if you polled most people on here they'd say we need one or two CBs. They'd also say that they'd have liked them signed in time for pre-season. As you say from what NA said he wanted the same. Now comes the part where I and others have a problem with Alpine and other posters with the same melodramatic style. Do you trust those that are in charge of the club? If not why not? Alright they may have ****ed one or two people off but in the grand scheme of things they've financed and steered us to two consecutive promotions, bought us the most prolific lower league striker, tied our best young players to long contracts, broken our transfer record already this summer, pumped more money into the academy and training complex. Now call me happy clappy all you want, but I feel that deserves a level of trust and respect. As a result I'll happily wait until the end of the window and see where that takes us. If then, and only then, we are still short in key areas, I will be disappointed. But still this won't be proof that we haven't attempted to bring the right recruits in. Be concerned maybe but don't be a pillock.

Not strictly true, I'd imagine it's somebody's fault just not necessarily someone from our end. Then again it could be... And here lies the crux of the matter, it's all speculation. No one really knows. Believe what you want just don't force your view down people's throats. Try to take a balanced view based on all available information. Too many imbalanced ones unfortunately.

I think some of us are just willing to accept that some transfers go like this, bluff and counter bluff. I'm not saying it's not off but could just be a tactic to force a move. Some of us just have open minds without believing either the negative or positive rumours with the blind faith of a religious zealot.

Here we go again. You moan about people having a pop and your first response is to start name calling. What ****es me off is that you and a few others keep trotting out the 'we knew about so and so' for months. There are probably alot more potential targets that we never hear about. A discreet enquiry is made, parent club refuses point blank, end of story. Why is it so hard to believe that we don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes? There are plenty of surprises around the world every transfer window. But no, it's easier just to believe we're being run by idiots because what you believe should be happening isn't happening to your own personal timetable.

TBH this place is full of people who can't speak Italian using google translate and then trying to make sense of the oddities it throws up. Very easy in this case to read something into the wording that isn't really there.
