OK a point maybe. 4-2-4?
-
Yep second half wasn't too bad before the second.
-
If that wasn't 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 I don't know what is.
-
Hope Cork's not too far away from a return. Would get JWP back in the middle of the park ASAP. Davis' distribution was poor but even more inexcusable was Schniederlin's lack of commitment to the cause. Thought Fonte and Clyne had good games. Not alot in the way of pluses otherwise. Lambert isn't as instrumental in our play with JRod up there. Really don't think 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 is the way to go. 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 please. JRod or Lambert not both. If we do sack Adkins, any chance of giving Neville the job? Talks an awful lot of sense.

Amidst all the doom and gloom I actually think Fonte and Clyne have had a good match tonight.
-
Thought Fox might have picked up a knock just before.

Delivery's been poor all night.

Sorry those changes were way too late.
-
Make a ****in change for chrissakes!!
-
Fox's crossing has been poor
-
TBH don't think Fonte's been bad tonight. The biggest problem's been how poor we are at CM.
-
JRod off now pls.
-
FFS!! Effin Morgan jogging back. No effort.
-
Set up wrong for me. Get JRod off for Mayuka and go 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. Morgan and Davis need to sit. This long ball rubbish is playing into their hands and giving them possession back cheaply. Not enough interplay up front as a result so their fullbacks have free reign to attack ours.
-
We don't seem to have anyone in midfield that can make a tackle.
-
Looks like as the Southampton Way (Barcelona style) isn't working in the Prem we've decided to go for the all new Southampton Way (Wimbledon Style). Unfortunately the long balls aren't accurate enough. Morgan looking off the pace to me. ********.

To be honest whatever formations we played in the Championship, this was our Achilles heel last season too. People kept harping on about how Morgan sat deep but on the occasions I saw us, he had almost as much license to get forward as the other midfielders. This meant we were susceptible to being caught on the break and the defence being left exposed. This was exaggerated by the fullbacks providing our width which often left only the two CBs left at the back. I didn't feel this season would have started quite so badly as it has, I thought we might spring a surprise or two early on, but the one thing I believe I was right in, is that we needed someone like Tiote or Frimpong to offer bite in front of the back four. I think that this lack has made our defence look even worse than they are. I also think those individual errors have created a lack of confidence and inherent nervousness which is turning each game into a self fulfilling proficy. We need a good defensive performance / clean sheet almost as much as a win.

Gotta be a draw for me. Both teams are winless in the league and I'd like it to stay that way for as long as possible and let the pressure build. The other results went against us yesterday so would be nice for one to go our way. However all that is for nothing if we don't start to win some games.
-
I wonder what this result will do for a strong Reading side? Score four and still not win.
-
Yup, two in three mins for Swindon.

Becoming? I've had two, maybe three seasons where I've been proud to be a Saint in London. Just keeping my head down at the mo.

Alps might have a bit of a point I suppose. Playing Leeds might actually be safer than training as you're guaranteed to be playing on the same side as Guly.

Last time I remember him playing was at this stage of the same cup last season where he seemed to be doing exactly the same thing.
