Don't think the 4231 thing is 100% set in stone as we tend to be more fluid on the pitch but yes we need to progress along the same lines we are currently on. I remember reading an interview with one of the kids after an academy win earlier this season and they were harping on about the pressing game they now play. Anything else is a step back. I'm not saying Mclaren's a bad coach but I think we need someone who'll play the same brand of football. Otherwise it really will show that the new board are clueless.

The board and Les Reed are idiots if they get anyone in who doesn't play the same pressing game. Mclaren doesn't fit the bill. Continuity is what we need because the soul of the team looks like it could be on its way out the door and we need to minimise the effect.

If it is true I wonder what the motive is. If the stories are true about him I wouldn't rule out spite but maybe he wants 'his' club back. If so it's not the right way to go about it full stop but you'd have to wonder whether some of the players and MP would be a part of it. Otherwise it'd be pretty stupid winding up those you'd have to work with again in the future (I'm talking players and coaching staff here).

I'm worried about next season. I was worried about this season once Cortese buggered off. However we won't know what next season has in store until this one's over and KL show's her hand so I'm not going to stress overly about it. I note that others have already said similar but all of this 'it'll slow the game down too much' is just a load of balls. By the time both teams were back at the centre spot to kick off again it would have been sorted. Look at West Ham's goal yesterday. A video ref could have cleared that up in half the time it took both officials on the pitch, especially when you add in the time for the players arguing. There's no need for reviews or challenges or whatever, the ref just needs to ask a video ref via mic whether he got a decision correct.
