My problem is when the BBC and Adam Blackmore are reporting Chambers has passed a medical at Arsenal it begins to look a lot more shady. Especially wi the club claiming he has an injury.

Gotta say if this one happens I really think we've lost the plot. What the **** are we up to? Doesn't make any ****ing sense.

And to build understanding between new players. My only worry is that we only have two more pre-season matches before the big kick off.

Just not sure I want Ramirez in there as one of the midfield three. Rather have him as the 10.

Not sure about 4-3-3 with these players. No one really breaking up play before Cork came on. I think if we're gonna play Tadic and Ramirez along with someone with more pace like Isgrove, a 4-2-3-1 makes more sense. Most of the incisive passing left the pitch with Ramirez and since Tadic went off the only player running at the fullback is Clyne.

Been reasonable accomplished in defence. Not offered much going forward, whereas Clyne's been getting forward regularly.

A few nice bits of play but not enough chances created really. I'm a little frustrated by Isgrove. Nice movement and finish for the goal but doesn't seem to want to drive at the fullback. Not sure I agree that Ward-Prowse is playing particularly well. Hoping Reed and McQueen get a decent run out.

The natural pessimist in me is definitely rather worried by the current situation. All of the players we've lost as well as most of those rumoured to be off have been very important to us over the last season or so. At the moment we seem to have decent replacements for Lallana and Lambert but we'll need to replace everyone that leaves, as well as get some extras in to improve squad depth. However the level of overreaction on here beggars belief. I'm willing to keep a lid on my worries until the window's over and our squad is finalised. You make a lot of good points that many on here will just ignore. My main worry for next season is how quickly the new squad/team will gel. Morgan, Lallana and Lambert have been playing together for years and it won't be easy to replace that understanding. Maybe the club see it as a good opportunity for more of the youngsters to step up at the same time to help counteract this. I know it didn't work out last time but I think the club and the academy players are now in a better position to do so this. There's also a part of me that's worried the more signings we make the more it'll hold back our talented youngsters. Trusting in youth is more common in Germany and Holland and it hasn't done much to hurt those two nations.

I'd say whatever order keeps you happy... Personally I think if we get Pelle in we could do with everything you've mentioned plus maybe another attacking mid.

Well I was hoping after Guan's 'I think it's going to be a very good week for Southampton fans' that there might have been another one or two in. Don't get me wrong Tadic looks a good buy but considering we've already had three leave, looks like Morgan and Lovren are on the way too and we needed to strengthen anyway, a good week for me would have to mean another couple of exciting signings to counteract this. It's all gone a bit quiet on the ITK front.
