  1. This is so frustrating. Thought we'd blown a chance at the top four before Xmas. Then we pick it up again and I start to believe it might still be possible. Unfortunately these two poor results look like putting the buffers on again.
  2. Why are we having such bad luck with injuries? Come on lads let's get our noses in front sharpish.
  3. Sky confirming other deal is to make Bertrand permanent. Much as I'd like that it ain't worth staying up for. Night folks.
  4. SSN ticker saying Fayenoord will not sell Vilhena to Saints.
  5. If we were serious about top four, this weekend we had to win to prove we could handle the pressure. Unfortunately we came up wanting. Not been this ****ed off with Saints in ages.
  6. Six goal swing for arsenal makes it an even ****tier weekend
  7. Unfortunately equates a a shocking weekend for saints and a **** weekend for me. With everyone else winning we needed to man up. **** that we fell apart.
  8. TBH on the replay I thought he could have done better. Doesn't disguise the fact that we should have put this game to be ages ago.
  9. Arse. Not enough ****ing nuns. Mail in the coffin of a **** weekend.
  10. Score a goal you bunch of ****s.
  11. Did he? I thought we were reinvesting all of the money we made in the summer on the squad?
  12. Seems to be one of those players continually underestimated by fans and coaches alike, until they actually get a decent run in the side. Poor at the weekend but rarely ever lets anyone down and compliments Morgan perfectly as we've seen in the past. Must admit that Wanyama has improved this season to the point where Corky wouldn't have been in my current first choice midfield. And with the form of Reed I'd say using him as a back-up for Morgan/Wanyama makes more sense than Cork as it'll aid his development. Factor in Davis and Ward-Prowse who can play there if need be along with Toby and it probably makes sense to let him go while we can recoup some sort of fee.
  13. Aaaahhhh. Nothing like a spot of self congratulation to warm the cockles on a winter's day. Never ceases to amaze me how people feel the need need to prove themselves clever and wise to a bunch of faceless geeks on an internet forum.
  14. Sod that. Koeman needs to get things sorted at half time.
  15. See post 31. Apparently that explains everything.
  16. I dunno, think Sarniasaint has all the makings of a top 10 poster myself.
  17. On the whole I agree with what most of you are saying, dropping points at this end of the table can have a more dramatic effect than when you're at the bottom. However, what seems to have been missed is that there are always shock results for the big clubs, especially in the run in when teams are fighting to stay up. It may be my imagination but in recent seasons this seems to have increased due to the top teams becoming more inconsistent. Last season between the beginning of March and the end of the season surprisingly Chelsea were the worst effected, dropping points to teams from mid-table downwards on four occasions, for a total of 10 points dropped. Looking at the other teams the average points dropped in this period was only three, although when factoring in playing each other this jumps up. Man U, Spurs and Arsenal couldn't buy a win against the other top clubs and not one of those clubs beat all of it's closest rivals. I guess what I take from that is that if we lose a few of our remaining fixtures we can be relatively assured that the other teams will too. It's how we bounce back from those set backs that will define where we finish. The top teams rarely drop points in consecutive matches and we need to ensure that we match this. The other thing to factor in that could work for us is that most of the teams vying for the European spaces this season will be playing extra fixtures in the Champions and Europa Leagues again soon.
  18. I'm pretty surprised Stirling passed up the opportunity to run straight at Lambert before jinking into the penalty area and scuffing a shot into the keeper's hands.
  19. Looks like all the other prem teams are getting late goals.
  20. Have we had a shot since Tadic went off? BBC hasn't shown one for ages.
  21. 5live saying Isgrove down with head injury.
  22. Should be able to take a quick shot then eh?
  23. Where's Ohio with his nuns when you need him?
  24. That's the spirit.
  25. What position does this Rife bloke play in?
