  1. I personally think they may get lost in this thread. I think each being a sticky for a couple of weeks until the next one is up would work. You could have another 'permanent', maybe locked, sticky with an explanation and links to each as well (updated by Pancake?) so everyone can find them easily even once dropped from sticky status. Under this plan, this thread would fall away and be replaced as described. My thoughts anyway.
  2. I believe Down are massive Saints fans and should be approached. Top band.
  3. Hmm, good point. RTFQ Rattlehead.
  4. Never really got into them but loving it so far. I've had Toxicity for a while and downloaded all of their other albums in one go this week. On the covers, good choices so far. A few suggestions mainly from my ipod: Entombed have done some Stormtroopers Of Death covers, including March Of The SOD and Sargeant D. Heard them on Spotify actually and was impressed. Metallica's cover of Remember Tomorrow is excellent. Metallica have done loads of decent covers actually - Last Caress, So What, Am I Evil, Breadfan, Crash Course In Brain Surgery, The Small Hours, Die Die My Darling etc... I also like their cover of Loverman by Nick Cave. Therapy? Iron Man. I think Diane might have been a cover as well, albeit not very metal. Testament - Nobody's Fault (Aerosmith). Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics!). Not really a MM fan though. Megadeth - These Boots (Nancy Sinatra?). Make sure it's the original version and not the remastered one as the latter has loads of the words beeped out for copyright reasons and 'humour'. Megadeth's covers are generally poor but this is a good one. Bonded By Blood - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, even if it is a bit silly. Motorhead - Louie Louie (can't remember who did the original). Someone did a good version of Troops Of Doom by Sepultura but can't remember who. Sepultura - Procreation Of The Wicked (Celtic Frost). This is excellent IMO. Aerosmith - Train Kept A Rollin' (Yardbirds). Guns N' Roses - Mama Kin (Aerosmith). Pantera - Planet Caravan (Sabbath). Biohazard - After Forever (more Sabbath). Sacred Reich or Faith No More - War Pigs. Slayer - Dissident Aggressor. Anthrax - Antisocial. Scott Ian of Anthrax also did a decent cover of Metallica's Welcome Home. Chris Cornell - Billie Jean (not metal at all obviously). Black Crowes - Hard To Handle. Also not metal but Free's cover of Crossroads (only a live version I think) is the best I've ever heard. Might squeeze in somewhere if metal is expanded to include rock maybe. Ditto Hendrix All Along The Watchtower. Embarrassing but Ugly Kid Joe's cover of NIB or even Cats In The Cradle. Shouldn't have mentioned that last one really. Obviously very few of these are better than the originals but there's some really good stuff on this list. Bound to be loads more as well.
  5. I think so yes.
  6. Good album. Been getting into System Of A Down this week.
  7. What happens to the money?
  8. It was pointless anyway. Sorry to say that, but it was.
  9. What would Lowe offer that he didn't before? Take your time but we all know the answer is 'f*ck all', ergo it won't happen.
  10. Surely you can rustle up a gypsy on an accordion and pay him 10 pence. Live music is usually better after all.
  11. I don't think you can run it from your internet browser directly - you might need to open the downloaded Spotify program first maybe (either manually or when it asks you what program to use). It works fine for me so don't know what to do if it doesn't work. Other than that I dunno mate. Sorry. Buzzin will know.
  12. Posts as bridge too far these days.
  13. Have you registered and downloaded Spotify? I think you need to do that first. Doesn't take long and definitely worth it IMO.
  14. Yes indeed, top notch stuff and I couldn't agree more re making me laugh every single time. "I'll knock your head off".
  15. I will check out Orn's mix at some point but too busy at the moment. On that note, I think it would be sensible to have a thread for each mix (as before). Kind of makes it more obvious a new one is up and then comments and discussion on that don't get mixed up with general comments. IMO of course. manji, please can you remind us about your sort of music? I seem to recall you like stuff nobody else likes, or has even heard of.
  16. She looks like a man.
  17. Just for Jillstain: http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=a+sandwich+short+of+a+picnic+ "HTH"
  18. I see Jillstain has pwned herself not only once but twice on this thread, despite having the opportunity to double check she wasn't missing anything. However, as it is blatantly clear that she might be a sandwich short of a picnic I won't be poking fun. Get well soon Jillstain.
  19. Caravan park
  20. So we can put the stadium back into it's flat pack box and sell it for £7m to £8m to any other club that can't afford £40m and has red in their kit? Problem solved.
  21. Mastodon's new album, Crack The Skye, on Spotify. I'm not impressed to be honest and it isn't a patch on the previous two albums.
  22. Had never heard of Spotify before this. It is pretty amazing actually.
  23. There was a massive fuss over Crash when it came out. I watched it anyway and thought it was sh*t. Watched 'Nuts In May' the other day - brilliant.
  24. Don't know about the Wii but on the Xbox you're just supposed to find the Death Cards. Find them all and you'll unlock some goodies, e.g. exploding headshots. As for your latter question, I have no idea what you're on about. Finally, nearly 50? I always thought you were about 12 years old.
