  1. I saw Rupert in The Don restaurant in London today. I managed to refrain from shouting abuse at him although I did utter a fair few expletives about him to my guests. I didn't recognise any of the gimps he was quaffing champagne with. True story.
  2. Generally ok but I need to listen to it a bit more as it isn't really grabbing me. Smashing Pumpkins and Spencer Davis Group are good. I should add it isn't my normal kind of music.
  3. With a name like Jeff Leopard I was expecting something a bit more rocky. Not generally my cup of tea to be honest, but I think the Sonic Youth track is very good.
  4. Have now listened to this a fair bit. It is a very good mix. In addition to The Green Manalishi, standout tracks for me include those by Monster Magnet (keen to check out more of their stuff actually, as I am very impressed with this Dopes To Infinity track), The Stooges, Helmet and Sonic Youth. Good stuff generally. Ta very much Pancake.
  5. The new Heaven & Hell album. 'Tis sh * te though.
  6. Metallica are probably my favourite band and I would rather play their songs on real guitars and drums. Not for me but a good way of getting people into metal though.
  7. Sad story indeed.
  8. Jillstain's IQ is in freefall with the prospect of a recovery to double figures looking nigh on impossible.
  9. Haven't had much time really but seems like a decent 60s kind of mix. The Green Manalishi is simply awesome.
  10. Tis true and it was a fascinating trip to a country with lovely and well-meaning people who are undoubtedly let down, oppressed and misled by the regime. Not sure what I said to create the current situation, possibly because beer was only 30p a litre and our main guide was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, but I do apologise. However, it is a beautiful and very interesting country and most Koreans on both sides of the border want peace and to reunite. Politics is in the way and it seems difficult to reconcile the two now extremely polar cultures. It will happen at some stage though, I am sure. Re current world security, I do not believe NK will attack anybody else, not least because Kim Jong Il will do anything to retain power and attacking anyone will inevitably lead to an end of that - he must know this. The only caveat is that he is nearly dead, which adds to the unpredictability. As an aside, the Pyongyang Times is even more hilarious than the Daily Mail.
  11. Used to go in the Corner Post all the time in the 90s. Great little place. Sorry to hear this news though and sympathy to Jill and family.
  12. You made that up Dippo, straight from the Joe Pasquale school of 'humour'.
  13. Steady on Scudamore, it's not cool to make fun of simpletons.
  14. Bergen is ace. Bit wet, but ace.
  15. Christians are as bad as any other religious people.
  16. Surely even with your limited intellect you can work out where he means.
  17. What a gay thread.
  18. Gran Canaria is for pikeys/northerners. Belarus is ace though.
  19. Spot on. BTF is one of the most predictably boring posters on this site, it's the same every time. YAWN.
  20. He is sh*t. Look at his record. The Dutch tw*t can f*ck right off.
  21. Still System Of A Down - first album is the best. Brilliant.
  22. How much have we raised for Barclays?
  23. I had a long weekend in Pyongyang (North Korea) a couple of weekends ago. Expensive but v interesting and the most beautiful woman I have ever seen was our guide for 4 days. Bit far from the UK mind. Nearer to home, you can't really go wrong with Barcelona. I'd also agree with Florence being a good choice. Dubrovnik is nice as well. If you can afford it Reykjavik also ace and loads to see around there.
  24. We need MORE foreigners in this country. If only we could then ship the BNP supporters and benefit scrounging scum to France or anywhere else, this country might be ok again.
  25. I've told him a billion times to stop exaggerating things.
