Not my sort of stuff really but Al Green and The Verve are excellent choices. Having today seen his confirmed interest in Metallica, I would support Smirking Saint's offer to do a mix.

Proper legend and a sad loss. His legacy at least includes the greatest guitar known to mankind and my personal favourite. I too will crank out a few tunes for him. Thoughts to his family.

I do understand that not everybody can appreciate wonderful music. As it goes, I do actually like most of the albums on your list. I also need to find a space for Alice In Chains' Dirt on my list. Unfortunately this means I probably have to drop Led Zep II.

F*cking brilliant last night. Tiny tiny venue @ Scala, great atmosphere and superb sound - they really were awesome. DuVall was great as well. 3 new songs, all of which sounded good to me - I will definitely be getting the new album in September and seeing them next time round.

Some chap called William DuVall. Don't know where he came from. I was inclined to agree re Layne but apparently they are superb with DuVall and their new album, due out in a few months, is allegedly brilliant. AIC was always about Cantrell anyway. Jury's out for me, obviously, but I still can't wait to see them.
