In Case Anyone Was Still Thinking "non-League"...
LestWeForget replied to The9's topic in The Saints
When are you tossers going to understand the rules.... WE HAD SEVEN DAYS TO APPEAL BUT DIDN'T. SIMPLES! We ****ed up.... not the League... FFS -
At last! Someone who sees the light! Any appeal would have to first appeal against the Appeals rule.... Then when THAT fails, take THAT to court... and fail.... could drag on for months or even years ... Oh I say chaps, let's put League one on hold until this is sorted, shall we???
-
That argument clinches NOTHING! THIS is what clinches the fact that the FL decision would NOT be overturned on appeal : 12.3.1 With effect from the 10th May 2004, if any Club shall: - a have a manager, receiver or administrative receiver appointed in respect of that Club or any part of its undertaking or assets; b have an administration order made in respect of that Club; c have a winding-up order made in respect of that Club; d pass a resolution for the winding-up of that Club; e enter into any arrangement with its creditors or some part of them in respect of the payment of its debts or part of them as a company voluntary arrangement under the Insolvency Act 1986 or Scheme of Arrangement under the Companies Act 1985; or f have any proceeding or step taken or any court order in any jurisdiction made which has a substantially similar effect to any of the foregoing; that Club shall be deducted 10 points.

I know ... still don't know how he hasn't fallen off yet. Never seen the man sober LOL -
As of the present time, the club IS included in the 2009/10 League 1 fixture list, however the FL are monitoring the situation.

Terry Hurlock for chairman! Won't take no schitt .... half-time scotch and cigs.... real football! -
Just checked with my contact... you may well be correct.. My source tells me the info they have is a week or so old, and may not actually be the "consortium" in question .... I therefore withdraw my remarks. However, dear sourcey person affirms that this info does relate to ONE of the offers received by Mr Fry.
-
Source - a contact at the FL (I obviously cannot name this person) who is liaising with the club regarding next seasons fixtures.
-
Ditto! LOL

[PEDANT MODE] Off for a game of snooker then? [/PEDANT MODE]
-
24rd of May LOL... Proof Reader!!! You're FIRED!
-
He didn't sound it though...
-
Lynam tried to appear confident, but sounded very very nervous. Gave me the impression his consortium isn't coming up with the goods.
-
Don't need a collegiate system, just a well defined youth system.... a la Ice Hockey ...
-
Misunderstanding alert! LOL Didn't originally quote it cos I was adding to it... a little unartistic licence...
-
The first part was a direct quote from another thread.... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=300764&postcount=76

Due credit to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache : Talks continue... Fry: Ok chaps, 9 mill for the club, stadium, train picture & everything else. Pinnacle: how about 8 mill? Fry: the creditors say 9 Pinnacle: come on, 8? Fry: 9 Pinnacle: 8 Fry: 9 Pinnacle: 8 Fry: 9 Pinnacle: 8 several hours later... Fry: 9 Pinnacle: 8 Fry: 10 Pinnacle: Hang on, you said 9!!! MF: No I didn't Pinnacle : Yes you did. MF: It was a pun. Pinnacle: A pun? MF: No, no, not a pun, no. What's the other thing which reads the same backwards as forwards? Pinnacle: A palindrome? MF: Yes, yes. Pinnacle: It's not a palindrome. The palindrome of nine would be enin. It don't work. MF: Look, what do you want. Pinnacle: No I'm sorry, I'm not prepared to pursue my line of enquiry any further as I think this is getting too silly.

This is what leads me to believe the issue is the money. Negociators, administrators, even lawyers can be dragged around a table out of hours, but banks and financial institutions??? at the weekend??? No chance!
-
If that's "Office Hours" then you really mean 96, coz weekends don't count
-
or Half way to Hell
-
But the corners of the stand are closed aren't they?
-
Not quite. If SLH is liquidated, Frys job is done. SFC will be either on its own, or be calling in an administrator of its own.
