Anthony Pulis in part exchange for Davies. It is believed that he will be signed, he has 25 league appearances, 6 at Stoke and loan spells at Torquay, Plymouth, Grimsby and Bristol Rovers after starting at Portsmouth. He has just recovered from a broken metatarsal. He played against us in the friendly. (from the Pink)

I think it's time to go. What a rediculous subject!

Or disregard them as irrelevant. The non football one's are sometimes interesting but the matchday ones.......

Last year from Crystal Palace through to Sheff Utd was dire. We played some of the most unimagineable dross whilst winning and losing. This year we are trying to play football, David Armstrong talking about experience said unmotivated experience like last year was definitely not needed. However good professional motivated experience helping the young players to develop was the answer. Maybe if we could get the high earners away we might be able to arrange something.

It sounded like he would put Dyer/BWP on it if it was to be done again. It sounded a straightforward interview. He was positive and answered every question.

Well done the w@ts who shouted abuse at Kevin Philips

It was such a poor move he trousered the best part of £3.5m and bought a £1.5m house at East Wellow up front and built an indoor pool/gym. -
More like, Two full backs and a centre half playing on a pivot, a defensive halfback on one side and a playmaker half back on the other, a defensive inside forward and an attacking inside forward then two wingers and a centre forward. 3/1-2-1/3. If I recollect the first team in the country to play 4-2-4 was Bournemouth & Boscombe. Sold as flexible, Becoming 4-4-2 when defending.

JP in his after match interview spoke about the bench, Thompson to keep connected, seemed to recognise Dyer /BWP were missed, but as they were unsure that Svennson would be OK, were committed to two defenders on the bench.

Caller on Radio Hampshire challenged Lowe as he was entering the ground, that was his answer to them.
-
I think that sums it up very nicely.
-
Lowe was asked why Davies was being sold and he said that his wages were too high. I understand he is amongst the higher earners.
-
This is correct.
-
I agree it could have been different but I felt he was caught out. The rest of his game was better.
-
He is trying to be better all round, to some extent he has succeeded for me. He still has rash moments, will I, won't I, then rushes out too late. That happened today, he came and unluckily was a trifle late and the ball bounced over his head. Itchen Block 5 10yds outside the penalty area.
-
Come on Nick, I'm prepared to say his all round game especially the distribution is measurably better, but he was a bit rash coming out for the second goal, the ball bounced over him and left his defenders in trouble. This was one of those times if he hadn't committed himself he might have been in a position to grab the ball.

I think maybe before Lloyd James is slaughtered a little bit of balance should be considered. On the left Holmes worked his socks off to help Surman defend, on the right James hardly ever got any help from McGoldrick, who was well forward, therefore was trying to hold probably the fastest player in the CCC and his support on his own.

I stayed until the end and saw every crappy minute. Wasn't today brilliant? I thought that Birmingham would outplay Saints and probably win by 2/3 goals. In the event we outplayed them in the first half and weren't outplayed in the second half and lost to two scrappy goals.
-
How the hell do you come up with a comment using the word fact, having not seen a single minute of play in any of the friendlies, or the three competitive matches. Until you actually see what the hell you are waffleing on about, I suggest you stop making such an obvious spectacle, as it is obvious you haven't a clue what is happening on the pitch and how the team is playing.
-
Fantastic first half. Second half Birmingham played more direct and with pace on the break. The first goal was a free kick into the box and a scramble, the second one Kelvin went walkabout, the ball bounced over him headed onto the bar by Svennson and Philips from 6 inches. We were passing but not being as patient in the second half and hitting longer passes giving the ball back to Birmingham. They then counterattacked at pace. Although no goals came from them. We need to keep the passing going and forget the longer balls. we need to pick up the pace when we are under pressure. John ran out of puff and the ball was being won off him time after time. Birmingham are probably the most potent team in the CCC, they caused us problems at times but we were never outplayed.
-
I would have thought that was fundamental, but it never seemed to happen.
-
I'm not so sure about the big crowd, I've just spoken to the ticket office, 17500 tickets sold including season tickets. They are expecting a total with walk ups of about 21000.
-
Presumably all the teams will play the same way.

Alpine etc, I had no problem with the starting post or the discussion that followed. The above post was the one I targeted. The information was even capitalised to emphasise the in the know factor and is clearly uninformed rubbish. Posts like this are not part of a discussion or an attempt to seek information. It is clearly posting rubbish claiming it to be substantiated. That is why I find these sort of posts rediculous.

Thomas is nowhere near good enough, even for cover.

I think he has two years left.
