    The Ref

He was pretty good all round but he missed the vital one. McGoldrick was pushed from behind and because of it collided with the goalkeepr just before Lallana hit the defender on the line. Saw it later on Tv, that confirmed it and the commentators saw it and thought it was a definite penalty.
  3. White looked lost today, Skacel has to prove he wants to play, he was pretty poor in the reserves last week before his injury. He has to play some games and get matchfit before he comes back - if he does. I heard JP saying tonight, they are waiting for several developments before committing to bringing more players in, hopefully before Monday.
  4. Cork didn't win anything in the air, Thomas was poor in the air against the Stoke aerial threat, Svennson was up against a real physical handful, I don't think Thomas would have done as well. I can see changes, but I think JP likes James at fullback and Svennson as his captain. IMO it is more likely he brings Pekart in up front with McGoldrick in the hole, Lallana moving to the right and the possibility of Cork playing in midfield with Schneiderlin or Gillett.
  5. No problem, I'm finished with him, nothing else to add.
  6. Fill your boots sunshine, getting pathetic doesn't work either. If you can't take it don't start it.
  7. The commentators highlighted it and agreed that it was a definite push from behind, and it did stop him getting to the ball. A definite penalty. That's the beauty of Sky Plus. The officials were ok.
  8. You really are pathetic. After we won the last two games you hardly posted. Now we lose, you have absolutely no clue how, all you know is the result, yet you are multiple posting trying to stir up reaction. Criticising people who are at the matches makes you look stupid. As far as I'm concerned your opinion is meaningless. I really find your negative match posts, bearing in mind you haven't seen one minute of Saints this season, arrogant in the extreme. Have you ever thought of getting physchiatric help? It must be really awful to be so sad.
  9. As you saw the Tv you will have seen the push on Mc Goldrick which made him collide with the keeper and the ball then cleared off the line. I've since seen it on the box and it was a definite penalty. The Tv showed that their penalty was absolutely correct.
  10. Offsides/ handball/ foul on the goalkeeper. The Linesman had his flag up before the ball hit the net. Maybe going to the match and watching again recorded match beats sitting in Austria. Getting sarcastic with people that have seen the matches shows a consistent level of stupidity. All you know is devided opinion on here much of it from people who, like you, never see a live match. Ok it was on Tv today and it was a pretty entertaining match. Sky commentators sounded impressed. They havent seen us playing well. In fact for the last half hour Blackpool played on the break, packing their defence, with even Svennson up front for the last 10 mins.
  11. Maybe a bit of circumspection is needed. It's going to be a rollercoaster, and it always was going to be. OK so we weren't as good today, 2 blocked on the line, brilliant save from McGoldrick, hit the post and lost to a penalty. Just watching it on tv now, we played good football at times. Burgess needed attention, he was our main problem winning the flick ons.
  12. Probably for me one of the most important problems was Jamie White's inability to contribute. His coming infield made us narrow on the right, on one occasion went to the near post when the ball missed everybody he wasn't on the far post for the tap in. His involvement was poor and a typical forwards, rash dive in, for the penalty. It was predictable he would be substituted at half time. I can see the team being changed for QPR. along the lines of Davis, James, Svennson, Perry, Surman, 2 from Schneiderlin/Giillett/Cork, Lallana, Holmes, McGoldrick in the hole, Pekart.
  13. Disapointing, need to get the passing game going again. I can see some changes for QPR. Probably Cork in midfield, Pekart up front with McGoldrick in the hole and Lallana wide right.

    Kelvin

He played well today. I just don't get the launch it long kicks especially in the last 20 mins. Blackpool won 99% of them. They have to continue playing from the back otherwise it allows the defence to stay deep and shut down the space. When we did win the ball we were playing into a packed defence.
  15. Give the boy a chance! If JP likes him then fine. If he is a footballer no wonder he didn't play at Stoke.
  16. I think you are now making a good job of taking the ****, about time somebody did.
  17. So the dross we had last season, was the slow, underperforming, non running, unmotivated, poor passing, bad defending, non scoring, experienced players making the right decisions. The team don't seem to be making many errors at all.
  18. 15 stone then!
  19. I didn't want to see Lowe back. I haven't supported Southampton since 1954 to want to see anything but the football. I can't really see any other reason to be a supporter. In the 54 years, the directors took a back seat until the arrival of Lowe. I don't subscribe to the way he became the story. Football is the be all and end all of the football club. In recent years the football has been trash, the young team is now playing the kind of football only the likes of Arsenal played and I drooled over. There is no way I am going to miss one minute of the entertainment we have enjoyed. Everybody has a free choice, I have made mine, I would be miserable sitting listening to games and wishing I was there. Principles are great but when it is the dislike of one man against supporting the team I really can't see that as a matter of principle. It rather appears to me, more of being backed into a corner.
  20. What has liking or not liking Rupert Lowe to do with being realistic or not?

    Boycott

Daren, I can understand the hurt and anger that you feel. You write interesting stuff, not all I agree with. The club should have responded to your request, you are quite right in your criticism. You really shouldn't let that idiot get you down, his post is beneath contempt.

    Boycott

You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this post. Your heartless comments, do you no favours. As far as I can anticipate any future comments you make on any subject will probably be treated with contempt because of this silly post.
  23. Gillett reminds me a bit of a young Billy Bremner.
  24. Tim if it's any help, it's Sky not Setanta over here. Setanta don't do Football League.
  25. Me too!
