Never resorted to this before, but a couple of bottles of 'Hen' and my only sensible response is TW*T

Give it to Ron! -
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear in my earlier post. I am fully aware of Arlott's biographical details. Just that as probably the best known Hampshireman at the time was he on Quizball as a Saints supporter or for his Hampshire rather than Saints connections. Have to be so careful on here sometimes.

One of the voices of British sport over the last 40 years RIP. Loved Quizball as a kid. Never sure if the great J Arlott was a saints or token Hampshireman though.

The whole Kia dealership thing with this place was odd. Around two years ago the whole site was Reg Vardy Ford. Then it changed to Evans Halshaw who to this point had occupied a site on the A329 at Loddon Bridge and were indeed a Kia dealership. They took over the Ford part of the dealership and tagged the Kia part on to that. My wife bought her Fiesta in 07 from them. She got a good deal and the customer service was excellent. Last Feb I was looking to change my Focus so I went back to them as my local Ford dealer and test drove a Mondeo. A couple of months later when I went in to trade the Focus in it had changed to Gowrings, and the Kias had disappeared. Always had good customer service from Ford dealership on site regardless of name.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but when I stood under the West Stand towards towards Milton Rd in the late 1970's early 80's the player who was more often than not closest to where I was standing was one Steve Williams. Can't believe he wouldn't get a look in at right midfield. -
**** off Jan, **** off Rupert, **** off Wotte. Watched last episode of Spooks instead. Much more exciting.

Will come away pointless as it is on Sky. Might be close, we might get stuffed. Cant' see beyond a home win.

For a free roaming game being unable to get to those really high spots to snipe away is a real weakness. I'm with Robsk re the bus stations.

Just been to my local Blockbuster and seen an absolute shedload of them on the second hand shelves. Speaks volumes. I've had it for about two weeks and like the Worm my interest is beginning to wane. Enjoyed the assault on the fort though. What ruins it for me isn't necessarily that it is repetitive more the way enemies respawn into areas that you have previously cleared and the fact that they seem to be wearing bullet proof t-shirts and strides. Me I prefer Madden 09 anyday.

360 is cheaper, but I've got a PS3. 50th birthday present last almost a year ago. Love it! Don't have same gaming cares and worries as youngsters. Really don't give a flying **** about what console is best. Enjoyed MGS 4 enormously and Uncharted. Get one if you can afford it.

Very sad. Heard about it from my daughter's friend, who attends Maiden Erleigh School. She'd received a phone call on Sunday saying that someone in her year had died at Tirabad.

when Harry was in charge we threw away the Leeds game. Got huge grief from a kid at school. Dyed in the wool Leeds fan. Last seen with a blue and white hooped shirt with Waitrose on the front. Funny I thought Leeds played in all white!

Just the best of them all!

Uncharted now less than £20. A shooter yes, but a great game. Ratchet and Clank definately. Lego Indiana Jones and Batman. Guitar Hero. Little Big Planet. The Simpsons: The Game.

Are there any left now? When I first worked at Ashmead School in the 1980's there was the Whitley Tavern (closed when last drove through), the Engineers Arms (now has houses on it), The Carousel (flats built on site) and the one on the Basingstoke Rd at the junction of Long Barn Lane which became a chinese restaurant and whose name escapes me now. We used to go the the World Turned Upside Down from school.
