  1. A skate mate???????
  2. Surely that's the wrong way round - a nickname infers affection, respect, friendliness
  3. I thought that the rewriting of history was Hollywood's role
  4. I thought that the rewriting of history was Hollywood's role
  5. Slight diversion but smiled talking to a computer boy today. Apparently PUP means Potentially Unwanted Programme (edit to suit)
  6. Republican myself. Get rid
  7. was told yesterday that the new car park will be open at the end of May
  8. If we get 24 points from 11 (7-3-1?) then this puts us on 88. Huddersfield have 67 with 8 to play - 21 less than 88 with a inferior GD. They would have to win 7 and draw 1 to go above us. P'boro have 65 with 9 to play - 23 less than 88 with an inferior GD. They would have to win 8 from 9 to go above us.
  9. Exactly. Move on.
  10. I dont know if you are a liar but you are without doubt a boring pedant. If you could do better then put your money in and take control. If I can afford it I will be happy to pay the extra ticket cost to see the club go forward in a sustainable way. You may argue that this will put off season ticket holders but the alternative arguement by two very succesful businessmen is compelling. Who to go with on this one - NC or you??? Hmmmm - toughie that
  11. ??? 9.45 pm on a Friday late? Horlicks or Ovaltine with your hot water bottle??
  12. If Huddersfield lose on Friday and we win on Sat and Tues we will be t 2 points behind them. If we win the last 3 then they have to as well which thet won't. Basically if Hdfield lose against Millwall it is in our hands. Come on the Wall.
  13. Not sure if its been posted already but (by my calculations) if... Hammers and Wolves draw and they both win at the weekend and skates lose to Chelsea and Tottenham then the best the skates can do if they win all their games (and West Ham lose all theirs) is to draw level on points with West Ham. In theory they could be relegated by the time we tread the Wembley turf (apart from goal difference)
  14. If they are not liquidated then I wish this is true. I wish that they take next years parachute payment against guaranteed relegation. I also wish that they are allowed to sell players now I also wish that the different shareholders and directors progress negotiations with different schemes and companies whilst ultimately only looking to protect their own interests A relegated bankrupt club with no players, little income, poor infrastructure and a divided ownership and boardroom in the CCC. Can only go one way - eventually.
  15. In your best mockney.. (you) Caaants, Vaaarking Avit
  16. And just what standards do you apply to your life - pray tell? No double standards or skeletons in your cupboards then? You must be either an MP or a catholic priest. Sanctimonious patronising etc
  17. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-one/coca-cola-league-1/total-points Bookies seem to think we may have a chance?
  18. The shirt I have always liked and really wished I had bought was the Bucharest away shirt. Wouldnt mind something along those lines myself...
  19. I dont know but would guess primarily land and property. It would be unusual for a money lender of his ilk to lend money without seeking security to comfortably cover the loan. This may be part of a hidden arrangement or side deal. Certainly it doesnt appear credible that an asset supported loan would be advanced on the basis that the chargeholder may have to advance significant further sums (at risk) to stand a chance of recovering the original amount. If he operated like that I would suggest that he wouldnt have been around for long. If it is the case though then perhaps he'd lend me some money
  20. Could that be Chainrai?? What if the value of the assets he has a charge over is larger than the amount he is owed??
  21. They've been through this before and they are not actually Portsmouth Football Club with a 100+ year history. To the best of my limited knowledge they are Portsmouth City Football Club Ltd reformed out of administration around 10 years ago. They have left creditors behind once before (and will probably do so again this time) and as such not only did they get an unfair advantage in buying the FA Cup and Premier league survival with money they didnt have but they were re-founded and promoted using cash that should have been paid to creditors. If it happens again then one assumes the current penalties applied will have some affect but maybe, just maybe, this is karma (or chickens coming home to roost).
  22. -1 **** 'em.
  23. I dont know who kate is but if she has a mouth like a skate then she'll be very popular in certain areas. Actually though - Skatesmouth isnt a nickname it is an alternative Proper Name and I apologise for the grammatical error in missing the capital letter in my original post. Thank you for pointing that out
  24. Firstly I do object to them being referred to as "P**pey". This is a nickname and as such infers a degree of warmth or respect. There is none. They are simply portsmouth or skatesmouth. Secondly is there some less than obvious agenda here whereby skatesmouth are attempting to defer any league games until after the players have returned from the African Cup of Nations? They seem to want to abandon games for the slightest reason. Sorry if this has been posted before but I have a short attention span
