If they really are driving towards a fan based and owned club model then Portpin taking over could be the best news for them. With the pledges in place, public support and a displaced fan base to hoover up there is absolutely no reason why they cannot start "afc portsmouth" a la mancs model. The pledge money that remains in place could make them a heavy weight in what ever division they start in and we have seen (not just from us) how far goodwill and a winning mindset can take you in football. In short - stop whinging and get on with it. You could benefit within 10 years by displacing the Portpin owned club.

You are fantastic. I agree with you. Every club that has an attendance of >95% has sold out unless they are Southampton Football Club. Everton "nearly sell out" against the best supported club in the world yet we have 150 tickets left some 12 days before the game. I'm not arguing - just bemused by the whole thing!!
