It works with quite a few of the adjectives I would use to describe them though...
-
It just depends on the definition of the respective "urban areas". Portsmouth includes Havant, Waterlooville, lee on solent etc. Southampton doesnt contain Totton, Romsey, Winchester, Waterside etc. In fact Southampton "greater urban area" only consists of Southampton, Eastleigh and Bishopstoke. Portsmouth urban area population is 442,252. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Hampshire

You have " a debt" to your mortgage company which is secured on an asset which on a going concern basis is more than the debt. If your assts were less than your loan you would meet one technical definition of insolvency. Is this what you mean by "in debt"? The ability to service the debt is probably more relevant.

Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"

This is bound to end up as a boring tit for tat on capacity at St Marys and supporter base. Close it now -
45 Points for Everton in the Premier League during 2012. Only Manchester City (53) and Manchester United (56) have amassed more. Record is P26 W12 D9 L5. Our tough start continues... COYR.

If they really are driving towards a fan based and owned club model then Portpin taking over could be the best news for them. With the pledges in place, public support and a displaced fan base to hoover up there is absolutely no reason why they cannot start "afc portsmouth" a la mancs model. The pledge money that remains in place could make them a heavy weight in what ever division they start in and we have seen (not just from us) how far goodwill and a winning mindset can take you in football. In short - stop whinging and get on with it. You could benefit within 10 years by displacing the Portpin owned club.

I dont really understand the speculation on guarantees. Would this not be a "football creditor" and as such underwritten?
-
You are fantastic. I agree with you. Every club that has an attendance of >95% has sold out unless they are Southampton Football Club. Everton "nearly sell out" against the best supported club in the world yet we have 150 tickets left some 12 days before the game. I'm not arguing - just bemused by the whole thing!! I'm off - goodnight!

Nice try? Why thank you! It is a bit convenient to claim that differences which dont suit your argument are down to away fans and segregation. You have used assumptions and unsupported figures which you have claimed as "facts". Why of course Man Utd would have trouble selling their allocation hence the reason that the everton figure was 95%. Oh hang on - you said that Everton was a sell out! My mistake. People who went to the etihad said there were empty seats in the home end. Cant be the case as the missing two thousand were saints fans and segregation. The fools! Our official capacity is 32689. Is 32636 "well below official capacity"? 99.84%. An impartial observer might think you were not applying the same scrutiny and judgement to both sides of the argument but me - I'm sure you are right. Not sure what you are saying but I agree wholeheartedly

Newcastle - sold out West Ham - 34172 vs capacity 35647 - 95.9% Fulham - 25062 - capacity 25700 - 97.5% QPR - 18072 - cap 19148 - 94.4% Man City - 46190 - cap 48000 - 96.2% Everton 95.1% Wigan 78.5% Arsenal 99.4% Reading 99.1% West Brom 93% Only Newcastle, Arsenal and possibly Reading sold out. We have possibly the least attractive opposition.

No sh it! You mean you dont know? Man! - my illusions are shattered. Yep that's me being a numb nuts for sure. Makes a big difference between the top estimate on here of £80k pw and the "net" figure of £30k pw though and a more reasonable "ball park" figure is probably somewhere in the lower (below 50%) range.
