5 million euro is about £75k per week. Top of our range but not out of our reach?

If he signs and turns out to be a dud can we call him "Filip-flop" -

A front three of him, mane and elia would have some pace -
According to Statto historic index they are at all time low and we are 11 points from our best ever (1982). Never has the gulf been so wide http://www.statto.com/football/odds/ratings/england/history

Schneiderlin: Southampton can 'shock the world'
Highfield Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Good for him. He is an essential component of this year's team and is committed to the hope and vision. Get behind him rather than turn every positive thing into a bleating "he wont stay" and "i hope we get £xm for him when he leaves". He and the players are living this game by game so why cant we? He is a great player in a great team. -

Queuing and waiting!! Tell me about it. There is the Avenue which is always a queue and then I was stuck on the M3 after the game the other week. There are engineering works on the railway most weekends which cause delays. I think the club should extend the M3 to St Marys but widened to five lanes each way and build HS3 between Waterloo and Southampton.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Ipswich Town

Surely they will fly to Manc and Toon. Shorter travel time than London if they do. -
Exactly - a better question would be "how many europeans have travelled outside of Europe?" Same with the statement that many Americans havent been outside their own state - how many brits/french/spanish etc havent been outside their country? - quite a few (and the majority of US states are significantly larger than the UK)

3-5-2 if Morgan, Cork, JWP and Toby are out?
Highfield Saint replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
That reads wrong. Sorry. The bit I'm hoping is true is Schneiderlin being fit... -

Of the three "tough games" this and the Man U game are the most important with the Utd game being the biggest of the three as the league (and the top two places) being between Man City and Chelsea. 3rd fourth and fifth could well be between us, Arsenal and Utd. They understand this and as such we should treat these games as cup finals. Avoiding defeat against Arsenal plus a win against Utd would be fantastic results and consolidate some space between us and fifth. It wouldnt surprise to see us sit a little deeper against Arse with a view to hit them on the break with Mane and Long (I thought Mane looked better in the ten minutes before he came off when he seemed to take up a more central position). Schneiderlin coming back against Utd at home makes us stronger and avoids the risk of a ban in the biggest game of the three.

Post-Match Reaction: Aston Villa 1-1 SAINTS
Highfield Saint replied to Plastic's topic in The Saints
Villa showed no ambition at all but simply wanted to contain. One of the Sky pundits said the Villa tactics were what you'd expect to employ away from home in Europe. If that was served up by Saints at St Marys there would be a revolt. A compliment to us I think -
And before radio the score was shown with updates on the front of the Echo building in the high street (where West Quay is now)!

Has Sammy lost weight?

Arrogant? This is a Van Gaal quote on the BBC web site - "We don't need to operate on him, which is a relief," the former Netherlands coach said. "Always with these injuries, I cannot change that. The human body has been made by God, not by me." Implication being that if he had made the human body it would have been better?

It's the same for any sport you care to mention. Women's tennis doesn't compare to mens tennis, golf - same, athletics - same. That doesn't mean that people don't enjoy watching Jess Ennis or they can't appreciate the skill shown. A lot of people enjoy women's tennis more as it seems more reliant on skill rather than brute force.

Southampton Ladies in all guises - 8 times winners of FA Cup, 5 times runners up. Second only to Arsenal who have dominated the semi-professional era.
