  1. Got to agree with this. Don't see any problem with his comment.
  2. Thanks for everything Rickie - I enjoyed every minute. All the very best for the future for you and your family
  3. He was fouled but had time to recover his position before the cross came over. He then seemed to slip and this gave Lukaku a free header. Bertrand saw this and tried to react but couldn't get across. So - yes there was a foul but it was Wes's error that conceded the header and goal.
  4. I do and would rather read Tom's posts than yours (not that there is anything wrong with yours just that his are more interesting )
  5. Oh man. I just love this guy. People's champion
  6. Why not?? If you think you can you will...
  7. Nothing to be afraid of. They've lost Pogba we've got VVD back. Midfield will be a battle but we can hold our own and we can and will score against them. Their front 3 and how we deal with them will be the key. Let's make it noisy and hostile. f*** em. Manc t**ts
  8. What do you expect from the lad. He is an effective player for an upper mid table club in one of the toughest leagues in the world. He's played getting on for 200 games for the club, played for the England set up and was only recently talked about as a prospect for a full cap and yet he is only in his early 20's. He's got competition for his spot but gives it his best. Ok - he isn't Hazard, Kante or Messi but he is a whole hearted honest player. We should be proud of him and pleased to have him in our club.
  9. Pogba out apparently - hamstring injury
  10. If you are sat anywhere near me you'll get a mouthful. It's about the shirt not the man.
  11. Might be covered elsewhere but in the Ben Phillips tweet posted in the OX sell on fee thread there are a couple saying we have offered for Demarai Gray?
  12. Agree. Thanks Tom
  13. Surely the new owner will have a say in this? We were told that Kat was open to a sale but now we had no need to sell. Accept it is a commercial decision but the final call has to be acceptable to the owner.
  14. If he wasn't a club player already would you really be this way about a £70m signing? You really don't want a £70m player in the shirt? Seriously? If he's happy, the club is happy and the manager thinks he is committed then that's good enough for me. Get over yourselves.
  15. I read that as "Burnley bid £11.8m for anyone" - probably not far off the mark.
  16. If he is sold then there is a game within a game for Chelsea. He is, according to all the pundits and experts and Liverpool fans, far more important to Liverpool than he is to Chelsea with some saying he will help them challenge for the title. On that basis why wouldn't Chelsea bid? Makes them stronger and weakens or helps derail a rival's challenge.
  17. My guess is we initially wanted £70m ish gross. Liverpool were prepared to pay that but events transpired (especially internal events with other SFC players) meaning we chose not to sell to them. This position has become entrenched over recent weeks. Other clubs were not prepared to offer to the same level but the transfer request reduces the gross amount we will accept thus bringing other clubs back into the picture. Wouldn't be surprised to see a cash plus player deal with a sell back figure in the contract.
  18. We get what we want and they pay the price they think is right if VVD puts in a transfer request. He then most probably goes to Chelsea
  19. If our valuation net of the mount paid away to VVD is roughly the same as the other valuations then perhaps this is the deal breaker at the moment? Especially if we really are so adamant about not selling to Liverpool? This puts it firmly in Virgil's court and potentially opens up a bidding opportunity. The issue then is who pays his agent?
  20. It's possible there is the possibility that with a good season he might be a target for the "next level" clubs (barca, Madrid etc) and we could increase his value significantly. A risk yes but also a possible consideration?
  21. I think Liverpool actually aren't as good as they think they are and will be affected by European competition. On the other hand we won't have Europe. We were weaker than our combined talents last year but this year will be the opposite.
  22. 6th + good cup run Boufal, Hojberg, Cedric, Gabbadini, VVD, Stephens and Romeu to have stormers One key player to come in Half full man me
  23. Must be something in the water
  24. I think "push on" in this context means competing with our peer group at the least and maybe have the occasional foray to Europe or Wembley. People see that the teams around us are spending cash on players and we aren't. The window has some way to go and we have a track record at coming out of it in good shape. Don't see why this year should be any different.
  25. Can only judge the window after it has closed and some way to go yet. We buy for the second season performance by finding players with potential and developing that potential. Mane, waynama and so on. Hope that is true for Boufal and Holberg.
