  1. Good heavens! My old account still works! Interesting to see a majority of remainers here. Interesting to see GM taking his usual hard line.
  2. I only just found out. Thanks for the memories, Alex...
  3. Well I was certainly in a saints area; but I was hardly going to advertise that fact. And I expect you would have sold out even if hadn't bought a ticket.
  4. In reality unlikely to get tickets I should think.
  5. Just during the cold weather. Mostly shave it off in the spring.
  6. I'll go for that. Here or there. There or here.

Why do you work here if you hate it so much?
  8. Actually I don't remember most of those either. Anyway it's nearly time for my medication.
  9. I don't remember that one. Did Saints go on to win that year?
  10. Maybe Kranjcar and James off too. Looks like asset stripping to me. That's what they are doing. I'm sure it helps a lot.
  11. Arrived on the QE2 in Nov '85; from Newport News VA via NYC. Probably my first ever sight of Southampton; it was dark though.
  12. Coz we just got free tickets to the Ajax friendly and just popped in to check the prevailing mood.
  13. I see what you mean.
  14. I think there are a number of careers for which some further education is a pre-requisite. If you want to be a rocket scientist, for instance, then years of experience in the forces or wherever is not necessarily going to compensate for a lack of degree-level education in science and/or engineering. This is not about who's going to earn the most money. It's about making the most of yourself and what you're good at. This is probably too sensible for the muppet show, sorry...
  15. Blimey DW you know more about Pompey than we do! AIEEEEEE!!!! No owner no team and no shirts either! We're doomed! DOOMED! Anyway, Tony Adams, nice bloke, good coach, not manager material. I think.
  16. Red Red Wine was pretty good... Anyway, to get back to the Terry Hall connection, can I just say, Jane Wiedlin, mmmmmm...
  17. Nice walking and climbing on Dartmoor. The Dewerstone is quite close and Haytor not far.
  18. Still wondering about the Riemann Sphere. Thinking we need a bloke with a maths degree to explain how to apply this to the bee/train problem.
  19. Just consider velocity as the first derivative of position, Δs/Δt as Δt -> 0. Nifty bit of calculus, gets around all that divide by zero stuff. Simples.
  20. Think I have some posts left. Nah. The bee had the same position as the train (instantaneously and subsequently, obviously). The bee's velocity was instantaneously zero (and subsequently the same as the train). The train's velocity never changed. The train was never stationary.
  21. Nah. The bee changed direction so its velocity was zero for an instant. The train's velocity never altered.
  22. If Voldeknapp comes back, will he bring the poison dwarf with him???
  23. Still got this one in the back of the garage. Probably too big and heavy for me now. Need a Bantam or something.
  24. I gave mine away. Well actually I swapped it for a twelve-pack of lager. I gave my mandolin away too. Still got some guitars though. And a ukelele. Aieeee! Am I schizo, good-in-parts, or just average?
