I am normally a ****eyed optimist who sees the upside in most situations, But I have NEVER felt so misrable as I do tonight. I have supported Saints for over 45 years and next to my family, SFC is the most important thing in my life. It's going down the pan and getting worse each day. I simply can't see a way out now. Pinnacle will not complete this deal. By the time someone else is on board (and I'm no longer conviced it will happen) our season will be ruined. Davis wont hang around for more than a few days. All our best players will leave. It's hopeless

Souness was originally in a consortium with Brian Kennedy (owner of Weatherseal) and his brother Sean. I have mutual mates of Brian and Sean and would have heard if they were up for it. If Souness is serious I would be very suprised if kennedy was involved. He's invested very heavily in the States in an aquisition that Sean has been running so i doubt if he has the liquididity or the will. I don't know who would be backing Souness this time round.

Someone with credibility and business accumen needs to lead this and very quickly if it is to be a possible runner. I can't help because I am based in Scotland now.

I have 2 sons 26 and 32 and they are Saint's through and through. Nothing would pursuade them to desert the Saints, I re-married and live in Scotland now with a 7 year old son. My boys and I took him to the Forrest game....his first ever game of football. He listen to the 3 of us moaning after the game and then said "I'm going to support Liverpool(his Mum's team) or Rangers. Saints are rubbish. " What could we tell him?

i've been a fan for 50 years and the only way I can deal with the situation is to be detatched. You're right, the performance and results stop hurting after a while. Can anyone see a glimmer of hope on the horizon?
