Chamberlain to Arsenal or Liverpool £10m
BGF replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
I thought how low we had dropped when I read that Stoke were possibly after him !! -
Dunno its too dark!

So there's another excuse gone!

Did Adkins bring any backroom staff with him? I dont recall any & I know he didn't bring in any players, the point Im trying to make is that he has no support from people who know him or have worked with him & I just wonder if he's struggling because of that. Most managers bring someone into the team to back him up, Pardew bought in Murty & I expect he worked with him at Reading, Strachan bought in Telfer having worked with him at Coventry. Most people would say they were rubbish players but I wonder if they steadied the team on the pitch by making the players play to the managers plans.

What annoys me is that you have to go back to the Hoddle/Strachan days to have a team that gelled both Strachan and Hoddle had teams that went back to basics and battled to get a result, no manager since has appeared to match them.

I wonder if Mr Lowe will turn up, isnt Cheltenham his home town?

Just started brewing some sloe wine and it smells a bit like the blackberry wine I made a couple of weeks ago, my airing cupboard is now full of wine!

On Sky sports as well

I think that Adkins is trying all the players to see what they are like whilst playing a real game, not what they are like in training, so I wouldnt be surprised to see him change Davis at some time.

South Today have just said that Shearer wants to be the next manager but Adkins is the favorite.

I had the same problem as you did scummer so I decided to buy a new router and I bought another Linksys/cisco as I already knew how to set it up and it works very well. The only problem I have now is with the Virgin Modem every so often it drops off and I have to disconnect & reconnect it can be a right pain at times. Another reason I had to get another router was that my security kept dropping off and I was surfing through a unsecured network! now that did worry me.

Well they think they've made progress. http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=206409

Been there & done it! my ex and I had an arrangement via the court, the CSA scrapped that, they then made a mistake & 3 years down the road I had to pay for it. I paid for 9 years, when my lad left collage @ 18 my payments stopped he then moved in with me and he's never worked for 7 years so I am still paying!!!!

YOU'D NORMALLY associate the name Lambretta with fully-enclosed two-stroke scooters, but after a 60-year sabbatical from the racing scene, the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer is making a comeback to the 125GP arena. Nicola Casadei will head-up the operation as the team’s Sporting Director, while Giancarlo Cecchini will develop the bike’s rotary-valve engine. The team will operate from Bologna, despite Lambretta being based in Milan The above info came from the motorcycle news site, it does mention 2 stroke scooters but the new bike will have a rotary-valve engine so you may not have to put the oil in with the petrol as you do with Lambretta's, thats where the smell comes from and its lovely :-)

Na it wont have the smell of a 2 stroke.

Ive come off them quite a few time never any long lasting injuries, that was back in the 70s nowadays if you come off your're more likely to be run over by a car! The kids today dont think of any protection, they ride them wearing Tee shirts and shorts.

Last year I restored an LI125 series 2 1963 it was fun, its great to ride it about and the colours are...... Red & White.

Wasnt Lew Chatterley Laurie Macs Bro in law? I remember watching his last match for us he was subbed and everybody cheered, the following Tuesday he moved to Torquay as coach, that made us very happy. Laurie Mac bought with him 2 players from Grimsby Lew Chatterley and Ian Turner, Lew Chatterley become part of the team Ian Turner was kept out by Eric Martin who was a good Scottish keeper, Scotland were struggling for keepers at the time, Laurie Mac offered to pay for the flight for the Scottish manager to come down and watch him play, he never did and within weeks Turner replaced him and I dont think he ever played for us again, shame because he was a good keeper much better than Turner.

According to Solent Barclays bank might be the one's to put pompey into admin as they are owed money from 2004!! it's a rolling debt apparently, If they do then they, not the owners appoint an administrator, the fun goes on.

Didnt SW make his debut after the semi final of the FA cup in 76' at skatesville then make his full debut against Fulham the following season. Fulham played with Rodney Marsh and George Best in the team, Best got sent off after a foul on SW I think. I can remember thinking what a player, we've never had anyone like this. I spoke to him a few years ago at a friends wedding, I asked him many questions the one that sticks in my memory is the one regarding him moving to Arsenal, I asked him why he moved as it destroyed his England career he just said they were his home team and it was always his ambition.
