Why is Boruc not been in the first team since his arrival? This is a goalkeeper who was a regular in Serie A last season, has vast international experience with 46 caps for Poland and experience playing in the Champions League. I don't agree with the argument that he is 'overweight' or fat. He has a big build and this has always been part of why he has been so good for the team's he has played for. At 6'4", his frame is very imposing and this helps his dominate his area. I feel he would have made a huge difference against Stoke's direct threat yesterday. Finally, I don't believe his lack of games is just down to the Tottenham 'incident'. It must be something else. If it is only down to this incident, then I think it is confusing the management are costing us points with their decisions over a complaint from a few pathetic fans who can't take a show of passion or aggression from one of the players. That is just what we need to drag ourselves out of the relegation scrap in my opinion.

I also think Jos Hooiveld could make the step up, given a fair chance and run of games. He was superb last season. However, I think Adkins has decided on his first choice centre back pairing, until January at least, and seems to be sticking with it, which can only be a good thing.

I think Jose deserves a lot of credit. He certainly had a very shaky start to the season with his individual performances match that of the team's; littered with mistakes. However, he is the one constant of the back 5, having played every league game so far and I feel he is learning and adapting to become a Premier League centre back. Lots of posters are very quick to slate players for making mistakes or playing poorly on here. Jose dropped down a league to join us in 2009 and has had to adapt to a higher division each season. This can't be easy but Adkins obviously rates his very highly and he seems to be improving week on week. Will never forget the goal against Brighton at the Withdean, where he hurdled the hoarding and sprinted over to celebrate with the fans. Brilliant moment.

Pompey didn't start the season on -10, it comes in to effect whenever the hell they exit administration.

The aim of my original post was not to call for Lambert to be dropped ... Just to say Sharp has been in good form in the warm up games.

With his goalscoring form in preseason, I think Billy Sharp deserves to be in the starting XI for the Man City game. Goalscoring is a habit, no matter who you are playing against, and I think he is our most 'natural' goalscorer. If there is a loose ball in the 18 yard box I feel he is would be the best candidate of all our strikers to put the ball in the net.

Might get Scarbone printed on my shirt.
