Great programme about Zlatan on Sky last night. Would have him in a heartbeat, even for one season. Huge talent.

Seeing VVD play yesterday made me think that he could be employed in this role. Seems to have that ability to ghost past opponents without any effort. Reminds me of Franz Beckenbauer at his peak.

I like Townsend. Think he would fit our style of play. Ox is too much of a gamble fitness-wise.

Think Jose has burned a few bridges. Might be interested in a challenge for a team based 90 minutes from his house in London.

What happened to our supposed interest in Emre Mor ?

Of course Pep will be available at the end of the season.

Long and Mane were our best combo last season at Chelsea. Wonder why it's taken do long for Ronald to see the light ?

Think we are in for a beating. Young, fit, high-pressing youngsters will be too much for our ponderous defence.

We played Long in this fixture last year and he and Mane ran them ragged in the first half. Don't think their defence is very mobile so maybe time for a change up front.

Personally, I would take Lamela and Townsend. Both have talent and could be great under Coeman.

Just looking At MC v Chelsea. Passing is very good. We were like that last year but we look a pale imitation this season.

Not terribly confident for this one. Think Newcastle will be a much better team this term. I know we won 5-0 overall against Vitesse, but for long periods they enjoyed a lot of possession and could have scored if their strikers had been better. We certainly can't afford to be giving the ball away as we did so often over the 2 legs.

An attacking midfielder for me. Somebody like Jonjo Shelvey. Getting it into the net is a priority. Pretty football is all very well, but we need an end product.

Won't do much till Ronald gets back from holiday. Anyone know when that is ?

As someone already said. Had forgotten just how good he had become. Will be like a new signing if he gets back to his old form.

Pelle's lack of goals is worrying, but the big problem is the dearth of people behind him who can drive in and score from midfield? Early in the season we had goals from Clyne,Morgan, Cork and Wanyama to supplement those from Pelle and Tadic. But not in recent weeks. JWP doesn't seem to have mastered the ability to shoot at this stage of his career. Watched him in the warm-up at Chelsea and he struggled to hit the ball into an empty net from 15 yards. Our midfielders need to have the confidence to shoot a lot more than they do at present. This would in turn ease the pressure on Pelle who is nearly always marked by a Cole of defenders.

Would like Austin, think he has a nose for goal. Would also like Jonjo Shelvey, a midfielder not afraid to shoot when he gets a sight of the sticks. Hard worker as well.

See Cech is looking for regular football. Would be a great addition in the summer.

Great atmosphere. Exciting game. We should have been a couple up at half time. Second half we could have conceded a couple. A draw left me reasonably happy. So good to see 2 quick men up front with Long and Sadio. Ran Chelsea ragged in first half. Agree about Tadic being so much better on the left. Think that could be our strongest eleven at this time.

We need to go forward not sideways or backwards. All the top teams move the ball quickly when they get near the penalty area. Incisive movement is what breaks down defences, not playing back towards our own goal. Bring on Long to lead the line. He is quicker than Pelle and more likely to break down a defence.
