Delighted to get a point but what a really turgid performance. The number of times players got caught while fiddling around on the edge of the area. Too many to count. At least there were a couple of occasions when the ball got kicked upfield rather than mess around passing back to Ramsdale. Time for Armstrong to be dropped. Brings nothing to the party. A few others need to up their games as well so some work for IJ next week.

As a previous poster said, this possession football is boring when played at a funeral pace. Watching City earlier was a revelation. Crisp passing and first time shooting. And guess what, passes played forward not sideways and backwards.

Great man. Made me a very happy supporter.

Should have said played at a pedestrian pace. Nothing wrong with passing the ball but it has to be at pace with a purpose.

Still not a fan of this possession football. City were so much more energetic and completely nullified our stilted efforts. Have to say, really liked Ashton Gate stadium, and the locals made me smile with their rendering of WTS go 3 nil down.

Totally agree that Rothwell’s goal will win GOS.

Loved Ray but there was no one to compare with big Ron. Truly a legend.

Got to say that this possession football is as boring as heck. Watched City, Arsenal as well as Saints, passing endlessly, with little or no end product.

Could only bear to watch the first half. Three down and goodnight Maria. Playing out from the back is ok but you have to have get forward at some stage. Sideways passing doesn’t get you anywhere. Their left winger had the right idea. Direct running and get it to the front men saspo. Desperately need a new keeper.

Liked the way he talked. Hope he can inspire the team as much as he impressed me.

Ah Ron Davies. Played when nobody took prisoners and centre half’s were tough as teak. I well remember the power of his headers and this with the old leather balls and very muddy pitches. Great player in that era.
