I hope he keeps his feet on the ground I really do because it's about time our kids had an intelligent thoughtful and hard working hero, it really is...

Youngsters in Bolton won't know who Paine and MLT are, sadly... They might know Channon. They WILL know Shearer and Theo!!
-
OK, I am creative. Can't help it. Left brain and all that. So, I came up with this idea. Let's make fecking great posters of Theo and have them all over the country with "Made in Southampton" stamped on them. And remind people that WE breed the best England players ever. Channon. Shearer. Theo. All made here. So to the rest of football, I say. Feck You!!! Up the SAINTS!!!! (PS: Good lunch today in Soho, sorry if a bit incoherent...) ....

Lighten up you miserable old basket. Find me an Englishman who does not delight in Scottish failure and I will show you either a closet Jock or a closet bender!!!!

An interesting juxtaposition...

Right before Walcott scored his first last night, Alan Green (the Alpine of the BBC) was bemoaning the line-up, the fact that the players don't know they're playing until they get on the team bus, the lack of understanding, the formation.... And feck me, he changed his tune pretty quick. Wouldn't it be a tad more genuine to wait until the performance and result... (Or has the black hole reached Austria already...)
-
And Burley getting lucky with his player lottery in Iceland.... ah, it's all coming back to me now...
-
I don't think he'll leave Arsenal. I think he will inspire them to a league and Champion's league double and prove that you don't need an oligarch to win things, just a brilliant coach and some incredible talent!

LOL!!! Well listen, I have the indignity of wandering around the woods shouting 'Coco'. One day a clown will jump out and I'll sh!t myself...
-
Why, where do you think he will go??? Man City.... lol!!!
-
Good call my friend.

Does she stand at one side of the park and shout: THEEEE-OOOO-OOOOO, THEEEE-OOOO-OOOOO???
-
What a dog called Walcott?? what is he, a retriever??
-
You, sir, are a scholar!! Before the last World Cup I was on Radio 2 (showing my age) as I appeared to be the only listener who had ever seen him play!! I said then he would be sensational for England. Only took two years to be proved right... lol!
-
What I can't believe is that these so-called experts thought he was just about pace?? Bunch of to55ers who don't even bother to do their homework. Two years ago we could have told them the kid is the new Henry. You'd have to have been blind not to see it!!

For once I agree. We were forced to cash in early because of a hopless gamble on promotion under Burley in which he was allowed to bet the bank but without being committed to automatic promotion... a ridiculous heads you win, tails I lose gamble...

96 goal scoring chances in our first 6 games

Twice runners up in the last 34 years compared with England's what?? Persistent failure to qualify.. until tonight!!!! -
Football has never been about age in my view. What we did really well in our glory years was that (in his own words) Lawrie brought together roadsweepers and violinists. That's the balance we need to get right. The violinist could be Frank Worthington or Adam Lalana. The roadsweeper could be Ollie Lancashire or Killer. Of course, most warhorses (roadsweepers) tend to be older, but there is no hard and fast rule that says a young team cannot carry all before them with the right mix of skills.

Thing is Lordswood, do you something new to say?? What's the angle here??

She told me she would rather you send the flowers.

@ 28p each?? 100,000 is a £28k punt in a rising market. Hardly a takeover...

1987, Penn's Place. Ady Gilbert kicks off for PTJ, ball comes to me. I hit it, 1-0. Don't say kick offs don't count!!! (Subsequently one of four sublime goals scored by yours truly that season from left-wing...) -

Wayne Bridge then... OR Franny Benali!!!!!!!!!!! Crikey when I think of people slating poor old Andy Surman at left back and then think of Franny there... to me the difference between Shergar and Munchkin* (*Whom my kids used to ride along Scarborough seafront...) -

I thought we lost that because 10 players played poorly. Ashley Cole could have been at left back against Blackpool and we would still have lost (imho). -

Indeed if he signs. He could be training for any number of reasons. But he won't be employed as an old-fashioned left back in a 4-4-2 or I am genuinely a Dutchman...
