The trouble is you can't please all the people all of the time. Yes I would have wanted my seat to sit with the people who I have sat with since the stadium opened but I want to watch my team so will just have to move, not ideal but hey worse things happen at sea! Have the club ****ed up? We just have to wait and see. Luton, with all respect to them for what they have been through, are not tbe biggest draw in the world so maybe it is designed to get people all together rather than spread all over the stadium. We all want to see SMS sold out once again but it aint going to happen just yet. The crowd has been loyal despite what has gone on, we get more than nearly every CCC club and more than several PL clubs despite our league position. At the end of the day if you want to go you will, if you don't then you won't. UTS

You have a ticket for the Chapel end for the Luton game? I was told on Saturday by the ticket office that the Chapel was not open.

Should Pardew rest players in JPT game ahead of Leeds?
Saint Lindford replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
No resting of players for me. Play the strongest team possible on Tuesday, I would sacrifice the points on Saturday for a trip to Wembley. Plenty more points to be had over the rest of the season to gain a play off spot. How good would it be to have a day out a Wembley not only for the fans but for the club as a whole after the last year we have endured. COYR -
I park in the car park by Jurys Inn opposite the fire station, normally plenty of space there.

Question has been mentioned above... Who would we drop for him? For me he would only be on the bench at the moment at best. Good player when he was here but he has gone, lets move on with who we have.

It was Blue Star something I think, they all went to Wembley and left Kenilworth Rd to Saints once again.

Never ceases to amaze me that people will not let things go. All I wanted was for someone to make a thread for me to promote my running in aid of Smile 4 Rich. Tony has very kindly donated on the link I provided, shame that others cannot do so. No need to give the guy grief.
-
Would appreciate someone making this a thread please and mods to make it a sticky for couple of weeks please. I am running the Royal Parks Half marathon, http://www.royalparkshalf.com/ on Sunday Oct 11th in aid of the latest Smile 4 Rich appeal and would hope that you wonderful people will sponsor me. I have set up a page on Just Giving so it is a fairly easy thing to do, any amount will be gratefully received not only by me but by S4R. Please visit http://www.justgiving.com/Simon-Jordan/ Many thanks Simon

We have not scored in the first 10 mins of a game since Feb 2008, some 66 matches. Is it likely to change as of Saturday, I hope so but can't see it.

If it was on a council par 3 course there would still be people wanting to play as it is for an excellent charity. May be if you got off the high horse and gave it a go you might feel differently. I think Neil chose the course because of its location between Portsmouth and Southampton.

A good days golf. The blues won 28 pts to 14 if I remember correctly. Good day for me though as I walked away with 2 prizes.

I doubt very much that is the case. AP is on record as saying we need a couple more players to add strength and depth to the squad, that is hardly saying 'the new regime are happy to let the team stagnate for a season'. What is the point of going out and buying/loaning any Tom, **** or Harry. They have to be better than we have already or it is a pointless exercise. I am sure targets have been identified and approached and there will be more additions before the end of the transfer window. The loan market continues after the end of this month as well so that also allows additions to be brought in if needed. COYR

His choice. If he does not want to be at SMS then so what.

Storrie-teller said on Solent this morning that Crouch is more than likely to go and it was because they needed the money. Just goes to prove yet again that they were in serious trouble with debt and that Dr Do-little does not have that much money behind him.

Looked more like 4-1-4-1 to me, certainly in the first half with Wotton sitting just in front of the back 4. Certainly did not work as Rasiak was isolated to easily and so many flick ons were just picked up by Ajax defenders.
-
I'd be happy to keep both. Sign SJ on a year long contract and JE on a pay as you play basis. Both can do a good job for us in league 1 in differing ways.

The give to someone your unwanted free Ajax ticket thread
Saint Lindford replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Not sure they were given out automatically. When I tried to renew ST online last Saturday and had no joy had to do it via the phone. Asked about Ajax tickets and they were supposed to be sent out, not arrived by this morning so rang the club. During the converstation this morning it was mentioned 'did I ask about Ajax tickets as they were not sent out automatically' so would imagine the online renewals would have had a box to tick or something if you wanted tickets for tomorrow. -
If that was the case the surely the press would have been all over it like a rash as club gives us permisson to talk to him. Nothing like that has happened so would suggest that the top candidate is out of work at the moment.

Do they realise that the size of the squad does not have to equal the size of the attendance at nottarf krap, or is it the size of the squad equals the average IQ of a poopey fan?
-
I for one would not be bothered if the bitter little stay aways continued to do just that.
-
I would hope the latter and stabilise, try for the play-offs and see what happens, big push the following season for promotion. If the team can starting winning regularly then that will attract some of the cut nose off to spite face stay aways to return.

Definitely no confirmation in the Echo peice or from Solent this morning at 0820. As the Echo peice says: THE Swiss consortium chasing Saints are expected to tie up a deal for the club today. The Daily Echo understands the buyers, believed to be related to Swiss billionaires Willi and Isolde Liebherr, are on the verge of rescuing the St Mary’s club. There always remains the chance of last-minute complications but the remaining couple of glitches are expected to be ironed out this morning so that a formal announcement of the club’s new ownership can be made later in the day. Fry said he was confident of a deal being concluded shortly. Lets hope it is done soon and if it is today then even better. The false dawns and time wasters have been to numerous recently so with some luck, god we could do with some, all will be sorted in the very near future.
