Selective hearing and memory then....... Think you will find it was a lot more than a 'very few', I know Pompey fans who were there and they said it was a lot who were singing. He was treated like a saviour when there was the sniff of a rich Arab being brought on board. Shame that the 'saviour' could only find Ali Al Mirage to replace Dr Dolittle.

That is why his name was sung at FP on at least one occaision last season then??

Shrews ticket prices (and SFC dig at them too!)
Saint Lindford replied to Pancake's topic in The Saints
Pricing is sensible really. Why price tickets at full price and get less than 10,000 when if they are reduced then we might 15-16,000? -
This is the answer I got this morning from the FL in response to my e-mail regarding the appalling refereeing of D'Urso. Thank you for your email. We receive numerous queries and complaints regarding individual referee's decisions and their overall performance. Although we are unable to respond on each individual incident, we can advise that the performances of all officials are constantly monitored by way of club and assessor reports, the match video or DVD and, at some grounds, the Prozone statistics. The match is also analysed by the Referees' Manager, a referees’ coach and the referee and, despite the perception of some, match officials are most accountable for their performance. Of course referees make mistakes – as do players and managers. That is the nature of the game and, as we all have our own view, is what makes it interesting, and, at times, undoubtedly frustrating. Referees make their decision based on years of training and experience and what they see at that moment in time, from a position different from anyone else in the ground - he can only act on what he sees, assisted by the other match officials and not everyone will agree with the decisions he takes. Contrary to expectations, the Referees' Manager will not attempt to support a referee out of sheer loyalty. It is his responsibility through Professional Game Match Officials to identify training needs of not only individual referees but also of all National Group officials. The Manager also works with his group in a bid to constantly improve standards in a game which has become faster and more frenetic over recent years. Every match is recorded and referees are under closer scrutiny than ever before. We trust that this highlights to you the procedures in place designed to improve performances and thank you for contacting us with your comments.

No idea what happened there. Have just sent an e-mail rant to the FL regarding Mr D'Urso's performance today.

Guly was clearly fouled in the act of shooting. Penatly No 1. Ball clearly crosses the line for a throw in, linesman 5 yds away does nothing. Barnard clearly was held back. Penalty No 2 Barnard was thrown to the floor, clear free kick and Oldham nearly score an undeserved equaliser. Same linesman for all 4 decisions and he must have had a clear view of all four. Possibly the worst display from a referee at SMS for years, just glad it did not cost us the points today. The offici

Just been on 5live as well. Blame is being put on the gun runner. Deal was thought to be done in Paris this morning but the gun runner wants more then he is being offered. Reporter was reading from a latest statement, liquidation could be just around the corner. South Today just about to run with the story. Flash up the toasters.

A crowd of 65,000? That must be in their wonderful new waterfront stadium that must be nearly finished by now!

Finding out the score of THAT game against Manure at The Dell on board one of HM Submarines at periscope depth somewhere where we should not really have been. -
Hopefully Franny won't use up too much luck before Friday. He is Red team captain in the Smile4Rich Charity Golf day at Cams Hall, opposing Blue captain is Paul Walsh.

Adkins still very much in the frame. The only person as far as I know to say that Howe turned us down is the Bournemouth Chairman. He would wouldn't he to keep face with the fans if his manager went for an interview and did not get the job and had to come back to his little club. I suppose you got the bit about contact with Cortese correct.

Solent reported this morning at 0820 manager will be appointed this week, will NOT be Phil Brown, more than likely to be an up and coming Englishman.
-
Straight red, banned for 3 games - Rochdale(H), Swindon(A) and Francise FC(A)

Whoever it will be my feeling is that it will be a well known and experienced manager. Why sack AP and bring in the likes of Howe or Tisdale? Brown was on MOTD2 last night touting himself, no thanks. Curbishley, didn't seem to be able to hack it at Bristol City so what chance ata SMS, again no thanks. Zola or Vialli with the Italian links would be good IMHO. Dream ticket would be Martin O'Neill but as others have said would he want to drop 2 divisions? Having said that he would have the chance to build something fantastic and that might appeal to him. Thanks to AP for all he has done for us though in the 13 months he was at SMS. Came in under tremendous pressure and did a good job in getting us to Wembley and 7th in the League. Thanks Alan and good luck in the future.

[Comment From Rickymale88 Rickymale88 : ] I believe we will be safe because they will give us some more time to come up with the funds.. Deluded fool..... Just where are the funds going to come from??
-
Wont put mine up either........ Posted as Markus and asked if they wanted to borrow a crane.
-
63% now... :-)
-
Thanks for that Ron.....
-
The only reason they sold their allocation was because hundreds if not thousands of Chelsea fans bought their tickets.....
-
Absolutely no sympathy at all for them. In fact the 6 year football banning order is to lenient, should have been life.

Reserves Pulled Out of Combination League.
Saint Lindford replied to miserableoldgit's topic in The Saints
Not really surprised, what benefit is there for players playing against the likes of Forrest Green Rovers Reserves? Arranging friendly games against Premier League clubs or foreign teams will be of more use to the development of the younger players. -
Not really bothered to be honest. The season lasts 46 games and we fell short.

The stand out moment has to be the day ML took over the club. It actually meant we still had our club and the future looked bright. As the season went on outstanding moments for me in no particular order, the day out at Wembley, RL's screamer at franchise FC, Antonio's goal at franchise in the JPT, thumping Huddersfield 5-0, Waigo's equaliser against Norwich in JPT, Bart's saves in the shoot out against Norwich.
