  1. Can you see Nick how Lowe's position has now become untenable? Even on the remote chance that we start to improve, we will not have enough to win promotion to the Prem for a good few years and fans are so irritated by Lowe that they will not allow him the time to get there (and quite right too IMO). Eventually Lowe will have to leave so then it becomes a question of where he is going to leave us when he finally goes. I can't imagine anyone saying that he will leave us in a better position than when he came back in the summer, both in terms of league position and the feel good factor and optimism for the future. With Pearson Lowe had a win win situation if he was kept on. If we were doing better he would be praised for sticking with a manager and learning from his past mistakes. Do badly and he had the perfect excue to bring in the Dutch duo and could hide behind the fact that it was not his appointment. He chose not to do that and it was very foolish because it meant that he had to take all the blame if it went wrong (which it clearly has.)
  2. It's a fair comment Frank. I am fully aware that either side would not be ideal. The problem we have is that there is no alternative so we must then choose which option is the least objectionable. With Lowe at the moment we have the protest marches, talk of boycotts and pitch invasions, the continuation of this Dutch and youth policy which is clearly not working and continuing disunity within the club. With Crouch we have the obvious sniping from the sidelines of the shunned party and a small group of disgruntled Lowe supporters. There have been rumours of poor financial management by Crouch but there have also been counter rumours that the bank were happy with Crouch as chairman. With Lowe we have a proven failure on more than on occasion but with Crouch there is no proof that he would fail if he was given another shot. In my opinion his big mistake was Dodd and Gorman but unlike Lowe he recognised his mistake and changed things before it was too late. I think this season has hurt more because it certainly seemed to me like we were beginning to turn the corner. I defy anyone on the pitch after the Sheffield United game to tell me that from that moment they were not feeling more positive about the future. There was a clear unity displayed and with Lowe coming back and acting in the way he has done has made things a lot lot worse than they would be. Regardless of who is right or wrong, the fan base and the club will be a lot more divided with Lowe in charge and that is the key issue for me.
  3. That was an amusing analogy!
  4. However bad Labour are I just cannot bring myself to vote for Cameron. There is something about him that I find odious and repugnant. Can't exactly put my finger on it but it's there ad everything he does just seems false to me.
  5. I agree. The fact that he has now gone shows how much we are missing him IMO. I genuinely believe he tried to do what he thought was best for England (don't agree with everything he did but that's all I ask for from a leader because I am realistic.) I'm not sure I can say the same for Brown though.
  6. He was quite happy for me to tell others about his views. I doubt he has anything to hide.
  7. Both dark sotonic mills and 1 other pmd me to say that I had valid points and that if it was up to them it would be changed
  8. Well then I have to ask at what point will things change? When quite a few choose not to renew? I think it makes sense to gain a consensus about where the forum is heading. It is run for us and we pay to use it so isnt it right that we should have a say?
  9. But these issues were raised months ago and were just rejected.
  10. Very true. I know that at least 2 (maybe three can't remember) mods/admin agree on this point.
  11. I thought much the same. Every thread on the subject just descends into people taking the mickey. Bit sad IMO.
  12. In the past there have been comments along the lines of "We are allowing you to use this site, it belongs to us." Just saying that this will undoubtedly changed now that we are all paying a fiver.
  13. No reply?
  14. Neither.
  15. On average, we now get about 5 posts on the lounge per hour. It used to be much higher and thus the forum as a whole was a lot more interesting. It's quite sad.
  16. There was certainly a lot lot more posts when it was just banter. As I said, the * rule worked well IMO.
  17. So no then.
  18. Yet one more person completely ignoring what I said. Did I say "Mclaggon is useless"? Or did I say he was useless yesterday? Two completely different things.
  19. So now apart from the original poster not one person has sad he was excellent. I know who I would have my money on as someone who "Was watching a different game."
  20. Why because you think a player plays badly in one game does that automatically mean that you think they are rubbish and being too negative?
  21. Would you consider the third option in the poll?
  22. I saw . I doubt very much that they would give me the power though. It gets very boring doing work sometimes and the arcade is a bit of a laugh! Anyway back on topic, having skimmed through the post match reaction thread, the marks for Mclaggon are 4,2,3,2,3,4. So it seems that you are in fact the minority and must have been watching a different game to the majority.
  23. Thank you.
  24. If you read people who hav rated the players in the post match reaction, most have given him a 5 or below (someone has given him a 2.)
  25. And did I say that? Please read the posts properly before making yourself look silly. If I had said "he is useless" then you may have had a point.
