Isn't there a vacancy left by Dodd to fill?
-
Didn't do his reputation any good with Swansea - poor man management apparently.

Saints email list 1992-1995 (ish) and Saintsweb launch

I was on the mailing list - I wrote some FAQ nonsense back in the day - always wondered what happened to DC. -
Surely simply a case of if an offer too big to turn down or a player's demands are too much then they will go - which is pretty standard in football... plus then there's a the finance rules that are coming in...

Born/lived in Emsworth - my Grandad followed Saints so that was me sorted/cursed lol. Never got to see Saints at The Dell when I was young as my Dad hated football and wouldn't take me. Went North at 9yrs, back south at 16 and saw Saints a few times (first game last day of the season 3-0 win against Coventry iirc - on the pitch, was amazing). As I got older I saw them in Sheffield & Newcastle (and they never won)... so view from afar now in sunny Llanelli. Really need to make more effort to get down to St Marys though.

Would have thought that any legal action in the first instance would be a strongly worded letter to the forum admin asking for them to remove the content (and pay costs) or to ask for details surrounding any user causing an issue or be held liable for the content. Anyway I've never been keen on The Osmans since Danny left although I still love Crazy Horses ;-)

Whoever out of Cortese or MLT has the higher moral ground in this - the result is Saints Fans sniping at each other over something that they can't resolve... all a tad pointless. Neither Cortese or MLT have covered themselves in glory with regards to how they deal with each other - the bigger man will be the one who steps forward and resolves it.. Well... tell people then. You allude to the "devil's child" and then say "mr cortese is just killing his time and waiting for the right buyer" - so it kinda suggests that it's not MLT dressed up with pitch fork and pointy tail. So perhaps the way forward is get the story out there (so it can be put to bed once and for all)... or for MLT/Cortese to sort it awt between themselves and move forward.

Isn't FL rules that a side can't start two consecutive seasons in admin..?

Maybe they're going on one of those timeshare tours, pay £39 for your flight and stay, but you have to go and look at some apartments/villas and have a bit of a pressure sale as part of the deal?

Modding a forum is often a thankless task, even more so when opinions are divided - I admin another forum so hopefully can offer some advice to those in charge. You need to decide what you expect your mods to do - are they here to tidy up the forums, delete spam... or are they here to take your decisions? As a reader rather than participant I'd say in the past it appears to be the latter? Perhaps as admins of the site you need to take charge of the more "unsavoury" tasks (infractions/bannings etc) and leave your mods to just make sure things tick along in an impartial manner whilst you're not here. Any user issues or complaints you deal with - not the mods. You won't be liked for it - but that's par for the course ) The six month rotation idea is interesting, but perhaps it might be an idea to rotate just half at a time, otherwise you spend a period of mods unsure what they're doing, what their role is etc. and that can be detrimental. Good luck Jason

Maybe it's a tactic - whereas Man City want to sign as many players as possible to win the Premiership, we're looking to get as many managers as possible? If our rivals can't get them then we're bound to storm up the league. Genius!

Read, re-read and re-read again and all I've discovered is that some of you probably had past careers writing clues for Ted Rogers and 3-2-1 (for younger people it was a crap Saturday night game show long before X Factor and made as much sense as Saints). Jason

Fantastic news. Enjoy the trip. Jason

It's a tough one as obviously you don't want to lose the prize. You can be honest and hope that the promoter is decent (most usually are) or if you're able to leave your daughter behind ask if the prize can be transferred to you as "she's unable to attend" (fudge your way along basically). The difficulty could be if the promoter is a drinks firm, as obviously that puts them in an awkward position especially if it's revealed at any time that their winner is underage. Jason

Might explain why he looks more miserable than usual - he's not had the cash to go back for extras lately
