I'll find out and report back as I know Dave. Not spoken to him for a while so it will be interesting to have a chat.

Weird. Back in 2003 I had a dream just before the FA Cup final that we were playing Leeds at Wembley and we lost 2-1.

It's ****! Never subscribed to all the staged events that occur in every episode. Their pathetic attempts to looked shocked when somebody damages a car they have on loan or something catches fire are the sort of thing you'd expect from Chucklevision.

If my memory serves me correctly, a 7-0 defeat at Luton Town in '86 or '87.
-
If Jamie Scowcroft is fit he's bound to score for them. He always scores against us, and on accasion more than one

It's a big special effects movie that's so full of CGI it looks more like a cartoon.

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug Muse - The Resistance Ian Brown - My Way Had high hope or all 3, but they are all pretty disappointing and fail to live up to expectation. -
Ok I will say it. Papa was god awful

Papa is ****! -
After reading some very good press about King Monkey's new album I had high hopes. Sadly it doesn't live up to expectation. It's just another Ian Brown album and offers nothing new. I realise that some people don't want change and will be happy to get another record from him, but this is a major disappointment. One review I read suggested that whilst he's making records as good as this then the Stone Roses will never reform. I'd love to meet that journalist and find out if they actually listened to the album before writing their review! There is nothing here that is anywhere near anything that the roses ever did. Lead single 'stelify' is probably the highlight of the record. The low point being the truly awful cover of 'In the year 2525' which has you reaching for the skip button immediately. If you want a good Ian Brown ablum then buy 'Music Of The Spheres' or 'Solarized'.

Saints 2-3 Bistol Rovers - Autopsy
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Same old ****. Beaten again in the last minute. How can this keep happening? If it was the same team that kept conceeding in the last minute then you could do something to address it, but this is a completely different team & manager in a completely different league. As long as I've been a Saints fan we've always conceeded late on I'm seriously beginning to wonder if Pardew is the right man for the task ahead. On paper we've got a decent squad, so why do we seem to be incapable of winning games? There must be something wrong with the coaching or management. -
I was at the 7-1 game. I think that was '96 when Souness was in charge. Also remember seeing us get beaten 4-1 in '88 or '89. If I remember correctly it was the first game where 3 brothers were in the starting line up. Rod, Ray and Danny Wallace. Think we went 1-0 up and then got battered I remember us actually winning a game there. I think it was '97? It was a Sunday game which we won 2-0 or 2-1.

He held talks with them in the summer and I got slated for reporting it on here.

What a load of crap! The Nick Love interview on that site confirms that he is a complete *****.
-
My son did something similar. I sent him back to bed and told him to go back to sleep. When he asked why I told him that dreaming about Saints winning something is far more enjoyable than watching the rubbish we've seen over the last few years. I went on to explain that he'd benefit from the extra time in bed because it was a school day, and it's important to get a good nights sleep when you've got a busy day of education ahead.

Just watched the original version of 'The Firm'. It's streets ahead of the remake. Gary Oldman is superb. Infact, all the acting is ten times better than in the remake. It's led me to the conclusion that Nick Love is a **** for trying to remake it. He's simply taken the classic scenes from the original and arranged them in a slightly different order, made more of the fight scenes, and generally got the whole perspective wrong. The original was about blokes with decent jobs, cars etc. travelling 1st class on the train to have a ruck at weekends. Love has tried to make out that once home from their white collar jobs they donned their Fila and Adidas and turned into Chavs. Sorry Mr. Love, but you've got it all wrong. You've got 2 types of football hooligan mixed up and it just doesn't work. The Casuals were a completely different bunch to the White collar workers. The only good thing about the remake is that Nick Love didn't employ the services of 'Top ****ney Geezer ******' Danny Dyer, which is suprising given that they seem to be joined at the hip. I wish Nick Love would stick to making his own films. Preferably not about Football violence as there's only so many ways you can tackle the subject. Agree with the comments about I.D. That was a great film.

Just watched Nick Love's remake of the 80's TV Movie. Not great. Love's obsession with Football Violence and 80's fashion is wearing a bit thin. There's only so many films you can make on this subject and The Firm really didn't need remaking with Love's take on things. May sound daft, but little details really ****ed me off. One of the main characters in the original was called 'Yeti', probably because of his blonde/white hair. In this film he's played by Daniel Mayes who has nothing 'Yeti' about him at all. Also, Love seems to think that the fashion from 1980 - 1989 basically involved Adidas trainers and Fila Tracksuits and nothing else. I could go on for hours about how this film should have never been remade. In the end I think it's easier to sit down and watch the original. It's far more enjoyable.

I've never understood managers who but subs on with 2 mins to play. What's the point? How are they going to have any impact on a game in such a short space of time? I would be looking to introduce substitutes from 60 mins onwards if things are looking a bit stale. At least this gives them a chance to impact upon the game.

Saints vs Colchester - Post Match Reaction
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Wise words. Mills is a must. Will have to see what Waigo has to offer. I'm not holding me breath. It would just be nice to see us score some goals and actually win a game. -

Same old ****e! FFS when are these so called wonderful young players going to find their level? League 2? BSP? I've forgotten what it feels like to experience the team I support winning a game. -
Humbug is a major disappointment

It's times like this that I wish the club had folded. At least I wouldn't have to endure this **** every Saturday afternoon.
-
Based on their performance last Saturday night, it comes as no suprise. They were f*cking awful! All that crap about Laim having Viral Laryngitis on Sunday was bull****. His voice was fine on Saturday at V. Well, I say fine. It was the same as it has been for the last few years which is not a patch on what it once was. At least I can say I saw their last gig... For the time being.
