I'd only be moving I'm on if we had an experienced premiership striker lined up to replace him, which I very much doubt we have. Someone like Bent or Defoe and we'd never get either of them.
-
I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that we don't sign him.

Predictions - who will we sign this week?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Suhari's topic in The Saints
I'd still like to see us sign Owen. I doubt we will as he'll want to stay local to the NW but I genuinely feel we could benefit from a striker with his experience. He'll score goals and others could learn a lot from him. -
Played 4, lost 4, bottom of the league....
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to kpturner's topic in The Saints
I honestly think it will read, played 6. Lost 6. -
Nice to see another 'realistic' fan speaking sense. Too many people on here live in the clouds. Ignore the people who will slag you off for being realistic. All this talk about European football is laughable. Saints are totally underprepared for life in the prem. Not one of our strikes looks like they'll be able to hack it in the prem. why pay £7m for J-Rod? That's a shocking bit of business as is Clyne & Davies. Average championship players at best. We have a perfectly good right back who must be wondering what the hell he's done wrong to lose his place to Clyne. If the management have got anything about them they'll go out and buy some experience. Even if We only get one season out of them. It's all about survival. I'd make Michael Owen a priority. He'll always score goals and others can learn a lot from a player with his experience.

Southampton 0 - 2 Wigan - Post Match Reaction
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Baj's topic in The Saints
This is what happens when you don't prepare for life in the premiership & only sign average players like, clyne, j-rod and Davies. We lack any REAL quality. A proven premiership goal scorer would be a start & 2 CB's and a midfielder with experience at this level. I'm not convinced that Lambert, J-Rod, Sharpe or Lee are good enough for the prem. if we can't beat Wigan then what hope is there for the next 4 games? Man Utd, Arsenal, Villa & Everton. We're gonna be a laughing stock. -
Still on target for my 6 games played, 0 points prediction. We look ****ing clueless. I don't get the change in formation with players out of position. The whole thing just looks a mess.

He's going to Norwich for just over £6m.

Mate, this forum is full of people who always know better. I remember a few years ago when I reported about the bust up in the dressing room at Kenilworth Road. I knew about it because I know Dave Bassett and he told me exactly what had gone on. He had no option but to tell me all the details as he phoned my mobile by accident and left a message for Dennis Wise!!! :-0 I remember saying that Wise wouldn't be playing for Saints again and that the club would say that he was injured. This is exactly what happened yet certain people on the forum still told me that I was full of ****.

HCDAJFU - The transfer deadline countdown
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to saint_stevo's topic in The Saints
He's having a medical tomorrow. He's agreed terms & Spurs have accepted QPR's bid. That sounds pretty solid to me. However, I accept that these things can still go tits up. -
Top 3 most mental goal celebrations at a Saints Game

Forte's 93rd minute goal against Torquay to put us 4-1 up. Never seen scenes like it. ****ing mental. -
HCDAJFU - The transfer deadline countdown
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to saint_stevo's topic in The Saints
I couldn't agree more. I'd love to see him at Saints. However, fellow TSF user, S-Clarke seems to think that he'll go for a lot more than £5m and it won't be to QPR. -
HCDAJFU - The transfer deadline countdown
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to saint_stevo's topic in The Saints
Forget Dawson going to QPR. S-Clarke has just told me that nothing's been agreed and there's no way he'll go for £5m. I bow to his superior knowledge on these matters. He's obviously got some inside information to which nobody else has access! -
Can't believe QPR are about to land Dawson for £5m from Spurs. He'd have been perfect for us. Why oh why are we not looking to add someone like this with premiership experience to our defence?
-
Just went to put £5 on city to score more than 5 goals & could only get odds of 5/4. Looks like everybody is predicting a thrashing. At the start of the week I fancied a 6-0 win for city. On reflection I was being stupid. I think it will be 8 or 9.

Can't believe that nobody's mentioned Lizzie Armitstead. Silver medalist in the women's road race. I'd do her before Pendleton.

Poll: Where will Saints finish 2012/13
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Bearsy's topic in The Saints
Bottom. -
We need at least one cb!!!
-
At least 4-0. I'm having a few quid on it to soften the blow.
-
Nearly £12m! What a joke football has become. This has got 'spectacular flop' written all over it. I can see us ending up letting him go on a free in 2 years time. Also, when are we going to add some quality where it's really needed? In defence!!!

What would be an acceptable score on Monday
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
Exactly. I see City getting off to a flying start. I can see them scoring 4, 5 or maybe 6. For us it's an exercise in damage limitation. -
Best place to sell a car?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Barney Trubble's topic in Motoring Forum
Stick it by the side of a road with a handwritten sheet of A4 paper in the window with the mileage (include the words 'genuine miles' & 'genuine reason for sale'), Tax & MOT duration, and your mobile phone number. Don't forget to include the line, One careful lady owner, and include any extras or other useful info in the form of abbreviations. FSH. Met Paint. ESR. AC. EW. Oh, and remember to close with the classic, 'No time wasters, please'. :-) -
Blackpool report Saints over Phillips approach

Who gives a ****? Seriously, we need to strengthen the defence or we're going to be the laughing stock of the Premier league. -
On the basis of Wolves and Bristol City
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
The back 4 is no where near good enough for life in the Prem. This will be highlighted when Man City put 4, 5 or 6 past us on the opening day.
